tasty Sangria – everyone will ask for this recipe….

Absolutely Delicious Sangria Recipe

  • 1 bottle Red Wine (750 ml)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tbs water
  • 1/2 cup brandy
  • 1/2 cup Cointreau
  • 1 orange, lime, lemon (seeded & sliced)
  • 1 apple (cored & sliced)
  • 12 oz seltzer (or lemon lime soda)

 

Make a simple syrup by mixing sugar &
2 tablespoons of water in a microwave safe container.
Microwave the sugar mixture & stir to dissolve.
Pour wine in a large pitcher, stir in syrup, brandy & Cointreau.
Add sliced fruit & stir to combine. Allow mixture to marinate
(preferably overnight – or at least a few hours) in refrigerator.
Before serving, add seltzer/soda, stir, serve over ice & DRINK!

*** in the UNLIKELY event you have leftover Sangria,
(since it is made with Fresh Fruit, it doesn’t “keep”)
I often will strain the fruit & FREEZE the leftover Sangria.
It provides a future tasty treat. ***
