out in our back yard this morning but she starting flying
before I could focus the camera.
Birds are notorious for not cooperating.
a friend asked how I knew the eggs i were showing you
were really BLUEBIRD eggs…. and i figured if Denise
was wondering maybe someone else was wondering too,
but was afraid to ask?
SIZE is one way.
ALSO —I know the eggs are bluebirds
b/c I see the bluebirds going IN the nest box.

they make nests in trees or other crazy places they can find –
like on top of outdoor ceiling fans or rain gutters…….

Another question posed was…..
What beetle is it that gives birth to meal worms?
Mealworms are the larva form of the mealworm beetle.
AND …. as the above life cycle indicates …..
mealworms really aren’t WORMS at all — they are larva.

5/20/10 Thursday night bike group & we had two others join late.
Michael IS in the photo this week b/c our friend Joyce
(broken pelvis) took the photo (but did not bike).
Michael, Helen, Howard, Adam, Mary, Amazon Joe & Dean.
We rode 23 miles tonight. (ytd 238 miles for helcha)

One of the roads we cycled on is called TURKEYTROT.
I love that name….

After biking (& showering….) we had an impromptu
beer tasting with neighbors.
