(6/26/10) We rode 42 quite hilly miles.
All good – we lived to tell the story…..
that’s 499 miles year to date.
Jeez had I only known earlier … I would have pushed
for 1 more mile to make an even 500!

Tree Swallows in front box 2 weeks old –
they should stick around for a few more days

momma Tree Swallow Dive Bombing me!
LOOK OUT!!!!! these are tricky photos to take!
|
|
the baby tree swallows out back are 12 days old.
the one on the left is TINY but seems healthy –
no doubts he’ll be the last to fledge.

loved this funny photo my friend posted on her blog
“insanity is my valium” –
if you have a PETS (that beg) you also may get
a kick out of her begging pets narrative.

I read quite an interesting article in the New Yorker Magazine
about Howard Engel. He was an author who had a stroke
and subsequently could not read but only could WRITE.
How strange would THAT be?
This 3 minute NPR video is not nearly as great as
the article but it’s a start. Feel free to do more
research on this topic. It’s quite interesting.

This is the LOVE BURGER.

A new outdoor restaurant opened on the grounds of
the Franklin Institute (Philadelphia’s Science Museum).
Frog Burger offers this delectable sandwich: the LOVE Burger ???
a giant burger sandwiched between two grilled cheese sandwiches.
Add bacon for an even more epic noshing experience…..
I’d have to bike there & back (44 miles) just to work off
that indulgent meal……

Parties who want milk
should not seat themselves on a stool
in the middle of a field
in the middle of a field
in hope that the cow will back up to them.

If you had the chance to go back in time
and change one thing, would you do it?

and the cow swam away with the dolphin
