artisanal bread to start with GOOD butter….

Local Warm Cheese Steak and Onion  Tartare, Traditional Accompaniments, Smoked Mushrooms.

 

~ very interesting & nice combination of flavors —

on the side were capers & mushrooms

Panzanella Salad, Roasted Tomato Dressing, Fresh Tomatoes, Aged Pecorino, Basil Cucumbers

 

~ again, enjoyable dish. flavors all came together nicely…..

tomatoes perfectly ripened, cucumbers had a crunch…..

Seared Sea Scallops, Farotto with Summer Squashes,

Yellow Beet and Walnut Puree, Brown Butter

 

~our FAVORITE dish of the evening. The scallops were tender & juicy.

Farotto (is like rice and) was DELICIOUS. I could have eaten a

bowl of just this. The puree was a smart/perfect combination

& the flavors together worked well.

BBQ Seitan Cutlet,  Salad of Smoked Corn and Chilies,

Sweet Potato Fries….

 

~loved the sweet potatoes, the BBQ seitan was …interesting….

I didn’t LOVE it but am glad we tried it. If someone is a

vegan/vegetarian and likes Seitan they would most likely

really like this entree.

Treacle Tart, Lemon Sage Anglaise, Crushed Pecans,

Vanilla Caramel Sea-Salt Ice Cream.

 

~ really a different dessert that we LIKED.

It was odd that the LEMON tart wasn’t yellow but it

sure WAS lemony & i loved the locally made

Vanilla Caramel Sea-Salt Ice Cream.

 

 

Wine for the evening….. Girard Chardonnay ……
