September 4th, 2010 Memphis Taproom
September 4th, 2010
Been trying to get Michael to MEMPHIS TAPROOM since I went there
a couple years ago. I strongly suspected he would like it…. and HE DID!
It’s not really convenient for us to go often but it was easy enough for us
to stop in tonight after the FLUGTAG event.
It is located on the border of the Port Richmond and Fishtown neighborhoods of Philly,
in the Kensington section of the city. Or, Port Fishington for short.
That’s about a 45 minute drive for us.

|
BEER-BATTERED KOSHER DILLS . . . . . .Horseradish buttermilk dip.
~ i wanted to like them…but found them to be kind of greasy…
|
Ben’s “German style” perfect pour of a pint of
West Coast Green Flash India Pale Ale

HEFEWEIZEN HUMMUS . . . Pita, tortilla chips, olives, cucumbers, sumac
~ Michael loves HUMMUS & liked this a lot.
I like hummus, don’t LOVE it. This was good….
PILSNER-BRINED HOT WINGS . . . . .Blue cheese, carrots, celery.
Michael is the WING AFFICIONADO & he gave them 2 thumbs up!
ROASTED MUSHROOM GRINDER . . .
~Provolone, hot peppers, onions, tomatoes, shredded lettuce.
This sandwich got 10 mmmms our of 10. I would go back tomorrow & order the SAME thing &
I NEVER do that……
The fresh cut french fries were really very tasty too.
They were perfectly spiced, salty & peppery. Very Good.

Michael was impressed with ALL the bikes on the bike rack
outside the bar. Many people use bikes for
transportation in the city — unlike in the ‘burbs
where we generally just use our bicycles for recreation.
