Many people have asked
for the “bacon” Mushroom Recipe –
so here you go…….
“Bacon Mushroom Recipe”
The Mushroom bacon is EASY to make –
but i can tell you — a little expensive —
You use Shitake Mushrooms
which are known as the Lobster of Mushrooms – DELICIOUS —
As a snack I would make at least 1/4 lb for each person –
The shrooms really shrink up …. (george syndrome – shrinkage….)
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Remove the stems and cut mushrooms in 1/2 (or 1/4 if they are BIG)
throw them in a ziploc & sprinkle with canola oil (don’t over do it)
(u could prob use olive oil too)
and some salt – but not alot of salt
(the recipe calls for Kosher salt but i think any kind will do) Shake them up so they get coated well — put them SINGLE LAYER on baking sheets & cook about
30 minutes at 350 degrees keep an eye on them starting at 20 minutes –
some pieces may get crispy b4 others – remove those
and let the others keep bacon (baking…. get it? HA!) Put them on a plate lined with a paper towel to
absorb any extra oil.
