10/21/10
Once a month Hatboro Beverage holds a
“master Craft Beer meeting” at a nearby German club
called Verienigung Erzgebirge…..(please don’t ask me how to pronounce it).
Tonight we were tasting beers from Weyerbacher Brewery
~ located in Easton, Pa — about an hour drive from Ivyland.

Burt – owner of Hatboro Beverage checking in Michael
They always have tasty snacks for us.
Tonight we got a nice treat –
homemade chips & Salsa from a nearby
Authentic Mexican Restaurant:
El Rincon

Yellow t-shirt I was hoping to win – but didn’t 😦

Mike & Maureen – friends we made here at the
Beer Tasting & after a few conversations
discovered we have many mutual acquaintances.
Mike Lubieski – Regional Sales Manager for Weyerbacher
Sporting the new shirt Michael bought for me
at last weeks beer tasting event
Harvest Ale was the first beer we tried.
We actually kind of liked this one – even though
it’s not generally the style of beer we drink.
Next up was the Merry Monk’s Ale.
I like this one as it is a Belgian Style beer but
Michael does not like it as he has a very
“narrow Palate”……. (he’s an IPA snob)
Michael is such the “connoisseur” (snob) he brings
his OWN BEER to beer tastings!
….. Southern Tier is a good one!
Double Simcoe is one of our FAVORITE Weyerbachers beers –
we were quite pleased they had this one!
WINNER WINNER chicken dinner – FINALLY!!!
I was commenting how it seems we NEVER win
prizes & they called my number – woo hoo!
I won a bottle of Pumpkin Beer & a $5 gift card.
I’ll let you know how I like it –
generally not a FAN of the pumpkin beers…..
