Thursday 12/30/10
Today we went skiing at Blue Mountain.
It’s maybe 1 1/2 hours from Ivyland, PA

We always like to get to the Mountain early for
“first tracks”…. before the crowds come….
there is Michael. He is my ski equipment porter.
Every skier should have one.
lift lines were non-existent when we got there.
We rode the “six pack” early in the day.
ACCIDENT!!! no one we knew……..
the mountain wasn’t too busy early in the day
me in the LEOPARD helmet…..of course
When the lift line looked like this —
we high tailed it out of there…..
we got up to porcupine in the number of runs we did.
Do YOU know what this means???

Covered Bridge on our way out into town
to grab lunch
We ate here, right off Rte 209 in Palmerton, PA
near Jim Thorpe, PA.
It was ok. Not in a huge rush to go back.
The waitress was nice, food ok.

——————————————————————————————————————————-
If you are thinking of skiing this weekend —- Conditions are STELLAR.
SKI ON!
But keep in mind – you MUST go early — unless you want to PAY to stand in line –
because late in the day that’s about all you are doing.
We’re skiing ELK on Friday & SNO on Saturday if anyo
ne wants to join us!!
See you on the slopes 🙂
For 21 years, I lived in New England about 15-20 mins from TWO ski resorts and have never skied!! It’s way too cold for me to get out on the top of a mountain and slide down on 2 skinny sticks attached to my feet!! LOLI did, however, WORK at one of the ski resorts in the snack bar.
