7.27.11 Duck Rescue, wasp sting

on my way home from work I saw this young duck
 in the street limping along & using her wing like a crutch –
then she went into this fenced in area.
I had to convince someone who worked there
to let me into the Emergency Services to try & get her —
AND he had to wait for me b/c the gate closes & I would
have no way out. Animal Rescue – Someone has to do it!

Here she is with a bum leg. I’m not sure what can be done for her
if anything but I didn’t want to see her “sleeping on the side
of the road……” if you know what I mean!

sister Pat helped with the mission.
She drove us to Aark – which is a wildlife rehab/rescue.

i got stung by a WASP yesterday 😦

my finger HURTS. 
 It has swollen up to almost but not quite double.
OUCH!!  Michael ran out to the store & got me some
Benadryl & cortisone cream.
I HAVE to get better – I have a tournament this weekend!
