Wonderful Wednesday 9/21/11
What did we do BEFORE computers???
Other than write cursively & actually communicate in person with words….
I hadn’t heard a thing about the Wegmans Liquor store job so on a
whim I posted on Twitter – “anyone have a connection at Wegman’s?”
An hour later Wegman’s messaged me & gave me the name of a person
to directly connect with. I discovered I had to APPLY IN PERSON
and NOT use the Internet. SO where do you think Helen went?
Immediately…..

Here she is – the golden ticket to a new future.
(By the way — I just found out I have a phone interview with them…..)

brother Larry came along for the ride.
we were a little confused on directions getting there
but I should get better if I drive there all the time
|

TOTAL WINE was our next stop.
I had applied on line & wanted to stop & hand in my resume
in person. Had a great informal conversation with the HR person.
The I bought a bottle of beer for Micahel.
I plan to be back soon for a formal interview.

We were having lunch with cousin Rose Mary.
This is her lobby at the Luxury Lofts at the Victor building
in Camden, NJ….

|
RCA used to occupy the building & this was their logo.
|
|
|
|
We ate lunch at the Victor’s Pub.
It is right in the building where Rose Mary lives.

Larry wanted to stop at Czerw’s (pronounced chevs).
We get polish kielbasa here & tasty pierogies.
On holidays the line is out the door & down the street.
Literally.

Everything is freshly made & if you like that kind of stuff –
this is the place to go!!!!
