Natalie from Weyerbacher Brewing held a tasting today –
People got try (& buy) beer they normally wouldn’t.

I worked late & afterwards
We headed over to the Iron Abbey for a
light dinner. It’s a nearby pub/restaurant.
|
|
|
|
We discovered this hard to find beer called a TRILOGY.
Green Flash / Pizza Port Carlsbad / Stone Brewers
collaborated to make :Highway 78 Scotch Ale.

|
|
|
We ran into our neighbor Deb’s friend Amanda –
we met her the night before at Union Jack’s
so it was kind of funny running into her here.
|
|
|
|
ALSO – ran into our friend Big Vic’s niece Caitlin.
She works at Iron Abbey & ended up being our server.
|
|
|
|
THEN we ran into our friend Joyce’s son Brian.
Brian just moved to the area so it was nice running into him.
|
|
|
|
nice light dinner: Chouriço Clams
Sautéed littleneck clams served in a Franziskaner,
chouriço, onion, pepper and garlic broth.
I didn’t eat the peppers.
|

|
|
I was in the mood for a different drink
so I went with a Caipirinha.
It’s made with Cachaça Rum and fresh lime,
muddled with sugar and poured over ice.
I got it in strawberry, regular is LIME.

|
What is LIFE too short to do???
