4th of July 2012
This was the most relaxing 4th of July I’ve had in FOREVER.
We usually have a few parties to go to but not this year.
It was nice for a change to RELAX!!!!

Chester faking sleep trying to get out of a morning run.
We only ran 2 miles today. We got a late start due to
the rain. And is was HOT out. Very Hot.

we usually BIKE on 4th of July (typically 63 miles)
but Michael is taking it easy so I went to
Boot Camp class instead.

I wasn’t buying EGGS today!!!!
Last week I saw they had Basil Plants for sale
& I HAD to get one – they were good
looking plants & I needed one!

Here is my new Basil Plant.
I met KEN – the chicken (& plant) Dad….
he was super nice & gave me a big planter to
keep the Basil plant in instead of planting it in the garden.
He also advised on the kind of soil I would need.
Basil plant 4 bucks. Soil $6. kind of funny!

went to HOMEGOODS to buy a cushion
for the Adirondack chair. Struck out 😦
Anyone know a good place to buy outdoor cushions?
I did see this cool turtle statue.
Thought Michael might like it.
He said he already saw it & didn’t seem too thrilled.
a few dinner supplies.
All our 4th of July cooking will be indoors.
It was 99 degrees & humid outside.
sister Pat made us a “hoagie salad”.
kind of like a sub sandwich but with extra lettuce
& minus the bread. Michael doesn’t really like
salad for dinner so instead I made him dead cows.
My version of a “buck burger”
(menu item at the Pourhouse).
A burger with pork roll & a fried egg on
rye bread. Michael said it was
“VERY GOOD”!!!
