Saturday 8/17/13 Bicycling and BBQ

Saturday 8/17/13
friend ADAM was home visiting from California.
We had ELEVEN people come out for our Adam ride!!!

Adam requested we stop at this bakery –
now that he lives in California he can’t get
the special Carrot muffins from Colonial Market

Next stop was C’est La Vie bakery in New Hope.
friend Rich couldn’t bike today so I promised him
we’d hit all the bakeries for him in his honor

We never get tire of riding in Bucks County –
it’s always quite scenic & we are always
thankful we live in such an awesome area.

KING OF TARTS – the third bakery for Rich!

I took a wrong turn near the end of the ride
& ended up splitting from the group.
BUT LUCKY ME – came upon these creatures –
Turkey Vultures….

There was ROAD KILL (my raccoon??)
and he was determined to get it!!

45 miles, about 1700 calories…..
it was a great ride with great friends.

We hosted a BBQ to celebrate our friends
Adam & Vanessa coming home to visit.

The party was a HUGE SUCCESS –
lots of people came out to say HI
to Vanessa & Adam

12:46 a.m. time for bed.
(we started at 4pm)

People always ask what time the party was over.
I never remember so I took this screen shot.

Weasel was ready for bed, for sure!!
