3/3/14 The NOT Snow Day, Blue Birds & a Cardinal, sangria, Chester

3/3/14

March month should be called TRUDGE month.
it’s been an interesting month so far….
and we are only 3 days in……

Chester supervising my shoveling efforts.
We only got about an inch or so of snow –
versus the 3-6 inches predicted.
Still needed to shovel as temperatures
are predicted to be quite low & the snow
most likely will not be melting by itself.

Working from home today. Glad to not be on the road!

visitors at the water hole
Blue Birds & finch.

I get so excited when we have CARDINAL visitors!!

finished another book.
It was a “young adult book”. enjoyable.
I love that I’ve been making time to read.
It’s been awesome.

Making a batch of Sangria with white wine.
It looks purplish bc I used Chambord instead of Cointreau.

What’s different about this bag of sugar??
Who can tell me??

Salad for the week.

When visiting friends Tom & Mary the other day I saw
they had in their refrigerator pre-made salad.
I love this idea as I am generally too lazy to whip up
a salad when I want one. Salad on demand has made
it much easier for me to grab a healthy meal.

Chester, on occasion, deliberately goes up to our room
& brings down this pillow pet. Fortunately he has
yet to kill it. He KNOWS it is not his toy & he purposely
brings it down & just shows you he has it.
Chester is a FUNNY dog!

Chester actually USING the Pillow Pet as a Pillow.
the Vizslas tend to like using pillows for some reason.

Is your cat plotting to Kill you?

we love her! so cute 🙂

a little tutorial on potholes…..

Potholes begin after snow or rain seeps into the soil below the road surface.
The moisture freezes when temperatures drop, causing the ground to expand and push the pavement up.
As temperatures rise, the ground returns to normal level but the pavement often remains raised. This creates a gap between the pavement and the ground below it.
When vehicles drive over this cavity, the pavement surface cracks and falls into the hollow space, leading to the birth of another pothole.

The End.

WHOA!!! look at this pile of hubcaps outside Rita’s
water ice in Warminster!!! Pothole potpourri!

but you have.
You never know how you made a difference,
but you have.
I’ll bet you did today.
Maybe you’ll find out about it.
Maybe you won’t.
It doesn’t matter.
Just know that you did
and keep that with you every day!
