Monday 9/2/13 Holiday Bike Ride

Monday 9/2/13
Bike Sherpas at work – Jim & Michael.

Today we were biking from Bulls Island –
30ish miles or so….with a threat of rain.

Ran into friend Tommy – we see him biking often

When we got this message we started
high tailing it back to the car…

35.4 miles – not bad!!!!

It started POURING RAIN —
JUST as we got back to the car.
It couldn’t have been timed any better.

are back there loading up the bikes’

Sunday 9/1/13 relaxing day! Peepshi, nail salon, Iron Abbey, Galapagos

our friend RICH loves peeps.
I sent him peeps earlier this year & they got
lost in the mail – they never made it to his house.
I still had a box of them from Easter so I made
him some Peepshi & also choclolate covered ones
(not pictured)

We went back to Iron Abbey for dinner tonight.
They had Pliny the Elder on tap – a rare beer.

neighbor Deb sent me a couple pictures of the
blue footed Booby –
Deb was in the Glalapagos Islands in August

Not just attractive physical features, the blue feet of this booby can be used to cover its chicks and keep them warm.

The largest of the tortoises, the endangered Galápagos tortoise is incredibly long-lived. One captive tortoise lived over 150 years.

Sometimes they bark at nothing!??!!

Today’s Tournament was in Pt Pleasant –
the last tournament here this season 😦
We like playing here better than any location.

Victor from our Walleyball league was
a nice surprise visit!!!!!

I was introduced to the owner.
Not sure if I’ll get to do any business here.
Great espresso & lunch was good.

FINALLY!! Made a sale here after going there for 5 months.

THEN we had an impromptu get together.
Dan was there. Friend Jesse stopped over.
