Today Michael & I ventured out for a Winter Bike Ride!!
It was a nice Sunny day so why not??
gee – I just noticed that SNOW in the background –
the roads were snow free – honest!
skinny tires & snow don’t mix well.
On the bridge leading from New Hope, PA into Lambertville, NJ
for those who don’t live near here – do you ever get a sense
of where we live & ride our bikes & go to dinner?
I try to give descriptions but not sure if it makes sense
or actually eventually sinks in — you might just need
to visit us & get a first hand tour?? YOU know who you are…..
it’s hard to see the signs but they are signs
designating the flood levels of storms.
the top one was from 1955.
The water was VERY high!
We rode 25 miles and I think Michael
said our average speed was close to 15 mph.
That’s fast for me but we rode relatively flat streets.
after biking we tried this new Brewery called the Vault.
it was located near where we biked from.
Vault Brewing Company in Yardley, PA
The beers were ok. My favorite was the IPA.
I’m hoping next time we visit they have a porter or stout on tap.
We shared a couple appetizers. Biking makes you hungry!
Michael ordered the Hummus trio which was good but
I am so over the Hummus craze. it is so meh!
this was interesting – Buffalo Cauliflower.
They saute cauliflower in hot sauce then sprinkle it with blue cheese – it was good, not meh!

Friday 1/4/13
Michael & I were both off work today so
we went to FRED’s private breakfast club!
There is no sign – you just have to know it’s there.
You know me & my mug at Fred’s……
today at Fred’s I met Maurice & he told me I could order
just ONE of whatever I wanted — as opposed to ordering
off the menu which is always WAY too much food.
I went with one french toast, one egg, one pork roll (well done).
After breakfast we went to TASTE to get some
balsamic vinegar for Pat’s birthday present.
I got her some vinegar & oils for Christmas but
what we really needed was plain Balsamic.
I got chatting with GARY who I learned I knew
indirectly from Job Club at Bucks County Community College!
LOOK WHAT I FOUND!!!!
I enjoy Polar waters very much but the obscure
flavors are challenging to find. I may have
discovered a reliable source for acquisition
but I am not ready to reveal it, yet.
Which flavor interests you most???
Princess Weasel Great Dog sent a letter to Madeline
requesting she be invited to the next Princess party –
especially since Weasel IS a princess……

Pat really likes Taco Suave because the food is GOOD
and the service is………. “different”.

I made a batch of my famous Sangria
(my recipe was published in the Wall Street Journal)
this was a small chicken soup….
I had to sit in the way back so we could all go together
I had to photo bomb myself because no one else was

I knew it was going to be a GREAT DAY today.
I saw a cardinal (female) at my bird feeder today!
My friend Bill at work is LEAVING 😦
Sadly, today was his last day.
That’s the owner of our store, our store manager & BILL!
Bill likes ice cream so we got him a HAPPY CAKE!
plus a bunch of WINE!!!!
Can never go wrong with a wine gift!!!!
~for me at least, unless it’s Yellow Tail, of course!
This beer kicked off our Beer Tasting tonight.
It was GOOD & we ALL liked it!
We had some Truffled Pizza along with the beer.
Compliments of Trader Joe’s!!
This was, hands down, my favorite of the night.

My first day back to the gym this year 🙂
It was pretty busy with all the new resolution people.
this girl pulled a hamstring while we were sprinting….

I made us these YUMMY grilled cheese sandwiches.
This is was Kevin’s look like (he’s the recipe designer).
Mine don’t look as good as his – but were VERY TASTY!

We like to bike on New Years day but the weather wasn’t ideal.
We got Weasel into her little leopard coat & off we went
on a little adventure….
