That’s what I aspire to do daily!

ME! off to a Job Fair — trying to make

Positive Change in my Life!

Yes, I wore my nametag, as always.

Is there a reason I wouldn’t/shouldn’t?

The job fair was held at:

They were hiring for Caregivers & the job that

interests me – Marketing/Sales.

I talked with Michael & Alex & learned a lot.

We all know that there is an increase in

the aging population & this industry is

exploding. How can it not?

“dining room”.

We don’t officially have one of those.

we have this area we use to eat –

it’s kind of part of the living area…..

This is where the dining room is suppose to be –

but I have my “office” there instead.

I don’t get dining rooms anyway.

A room just to use a few times a year? meh!

Last week, if you remember, I was in Ambler at a

Local Food event /movie. I met a lady who

worked for a Day Camp – she was telling me

how they were hiring teens & I immediately

thought of friend Jim’s son & passed on

the information – now he works there!

Everything happens for a reason……

Tuesday 4/24/12 yoga, VOTING, "farmers market"

Tuesday 4/24/12

It’s only Tuesday???

YOGA today after run with the dogs…I needed it!

Yoga is restorative

The New Voter ID Law was in force today.

What’s your opinion on showing ID to vote?

That’s the Mayor of Ivyland, Charlie.

He’s running for Committeeman.

Not sure what that person does….

I have no problem showing ID!!

That’s actually Weasel’s driver license.

oh yeah, I wasn’t allowed to take pictures inside the

polling place (a church hall). I’m such a rebel!

Today’s Foodie Photo-A-Day was “farmers market”

which is kind of silly to have that picture challenge

on a TUESDAY! Where is there a Farmers Market

on a TUESDAY???

This is where we often go for our Marketing….

it’s maybe 10 minutes from Ivyland.

This is what our Farmer’s Market looks like in the Summer

occasionally I will go to this indoor Farmer’s Market.

It’s open year round but NOT on Tuesdays!

This one is probably about 20 minutes from us.

Monday 4/23/12 gym, cooking, books, "favorite carb"

started my day with the gym –

I went early so I could run inside

& take a class after that

view from the treadmill –

the gym was unusually quiet today –

I guess the rain kept everyone home?

Class was Packed though – we had the

usual 40 to 50 people in class. dislike.

a dozen of treadmills to chose from —

and this guy has to use the treadmill next to me….

of course!!

I even said something to him —

Oh Treadmill #1 is your favorite??

That was a mistake – he was Mr Chatterbox after that!

BUT – on the positive side –

He told me an inspirational story about his

69 year old friend who ran 14 marathons

last year. WOW.

the dogs took a ride with me to get

only 6 bucks at my egg store.

I don’t even know what you use it for,

do you???

I made these tasty deviled eggs with

bacon & cheese…mmmmm

whipped up some Cheesey garlic bread

to pair with roasted peppers I made the other day

Today is World Book Night –

meant to tell you about it yesterday

so you could prepare but I forgot, sorry.

today’s Photo-A-day is “favorite carb” –

I’m guessing Pizza is a carb but I think that

the skinnier the crust the less “carby”.

I really like tacos too – so this would be o

I rarely think of fruits & veggies as “Carbs”,

do you?? But I think they are, right??

4/22/12 Earth Day! Little Leo’s, Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, "go green"

rainy day today – would have been great to stay in

& spend the day reading — of course I didn’t…..

I wanted to try Little Leo’s Cafe.

They won best breakfast in Warminster.

it’s kind of “divey”, definitely no frills!

they had this tasty stuffed french toast I wanted to try.

I’m friends with them on Facebook & they talked about.

Stuffed with bananas, strawberries, & cream cheese.

Breakfast for today & tomorrow.

It was tasty – we’ll go back!

Trader Joe’s had a CART DRYING STATION –

what a cool idea! We used it.

Trader Joe’s was giving Samples of this

Green Juice for Earth day.

I didn’t really like it but wanted a picture for

“go green” Foodie photo-a-day.

The guy giving samples said I had to get permission

from a manager to take a picture —-

yea, right! Hence, a stealth photo.

What store doesn’t want FREE publicity??

I can name one, now two…..

Whole Foods on a rainy day.

Everyone must have said:

“What should we do on a Rain Day?”

and the answer was:

“Go shopping at Whole Foods”

bc is seemed like EVERYONE was there!

I did buy ground beef for the dinner I was making.

glad to hear it contained no PINK SLIME.

now maybe if they had GREEN SLIME,

I could have used it for today’s photo challenge….

a picture I thought could be used for

“go green” — a recycle center at Whole Foods.

you may already know this but I had a

“predator issue” with my Bluebirds.

The babies were missing from their nest

& mom was gone too. Dad was flying around

looking for his family. Very Sad 😦

there was one baby left yesterday & of course it

would die b/c it was not getting fed.

Today I was going to have a baby bluebird

funeral & bury it but it was gone too!!!

I wish I knew what happened so I could

address the problem.

(Deb, do they look like HS droppings, in the nest???)

Each year Comcast sets aside a day & the

employees, their relatives & friends

volunteer to engage in a community activity.

Today we worked at Churchville Nature Center.

4/20/12 baby birds, favorite cookbook, FREE STUFF, fun stuff

officially I have FIVE baby bluebirds –

so ugly they are cute!

Day #20 Foodie Photo-A-Day:

Favorite Cookbook.

That’s a tough one really bc I mostly

get my recipes from magazines & blogs.

A few years ago some friends & I tried doing

the South Beach diet which we really liked.

We made a lot of recipes from this book

& really liked them. I still make meals from here.

While visiting my cookbooks I came

across this one. It had some quick & easy recipes –

maybe this book will become my favorite cookbook?

I weeded out 6 cookbooks from my collection.

At one point I had at least 50 – now I have 12.

Still too many……
