ALTRUISM was today’s word.

I don’t think I’ve ever used this word in my life –

written or spoken. Have you??

I’m still not certain I know what it means!

these were a few of the smells from tonight’s

Table Topics speech: Coffee & Peppermint.

Each person had a unique take on the fragrance.

Chester WAS liking the lotion smell.

Dogs LIKE licking lotion.

Weasel NOT into Vick’s Vapor Rub.

One of the fragrances I used tonight was

black licorice. Hence it inspired me to

have some ABSINTHE.

Have you ever had this crazy drink??

you make an Absinthe drink by dripping ice cold

water on sugar cubes into a glass with

Absinthe in it. It’s an interesting beverage.

(difficult to find & my preferred of the two.)

1.2.12 brunch, Chester, chocolate, SMELL

{I got the date right……}

We ate late today so I made us a big fat BRUNCH sandwich.

Chorizo, with an egg, Cheese & spinach.

Didn’t need to eat the rest of the day!

picked up a BIG BONE for Chester’s birthday present

I didn’t think Weasel would be interested, but

apparently she was – so Michael had to cut the

bone in half b/c Chester was being a little

too protective of it.

spent some time getting materials together for

my Toastmaster Meeting Tuesday night.

I’m in charge of Table Topics whereas I

provide the Topic & members get to practice

impromptu speaking.

I made containers with different unique smells

& I am asking each speaker to tell us what

it reminds them of.

I’ve never done Table Topics so this

should be interesting…..

make mistakes, learn. Gain confidence.

Today is Chester’s Birthday –

he is 49 yrs old –

My friend Dave’s daughter got it as a gift

& didn’t want it & wondered if I would like it…

and as a bonus we got a massager too.

Michael got bagels for his guys that were working today

& he brought some home for us.

PLAIN BAGELS are the most boring thing ever.

I’m not eating them ever again.

That’s a new years resolution!

Danny got a new stethoscope for work.

Who wants to guess how much they cost?

Michael & I went for a short 20 mile bike ride today.

We ran into friends Mary & Tom taking a walk in the park.

12/31/11 the EVE of the New Year

12/31/11

One last time for me to write 2011 —

wonder how many times I will forget to write 2012,

and write 2011 instead??

It happens to everyone, right?

We spent the first part of New Year’s Eve

at my cousin Rose Mary’s. Her apartment

has a waterfront view – perfect for the

firework display. Philadelphia has Fireworks

at 6PM & midnight – we watched the senior citizen version.

this is Rose Mary’s neighbor Denise & her cat.

She lives above Rose Mary — I went to her

apartment FIRST by accident & walked right in –

oops!!

I knew I was in the wrong place as soon as I

saw the cat as Rose Mary has no animals!

biking friends Mary & Tom’s house.

We were playing cards & I was the BIG WINNER
