12/4/10 biking , party

all bundled up for a BIKE RIDE!

it was 41 & sunny when we started out –

THEN it was 39, cloudy, windy & snow flurries.

brrrrrrr.

12/4/10 ~ toasting up at bagel junction.

we rode 23 miles.

2010 ytd 1167 miles

(2009 miles logged was 1,174 miles)

Friends Jim & Colleen invited us over for

a “raid the Beer Fridge ” & “play some games” Party

12/3/10 nail salon, dinner & movie

12/3/10

I had off from work today – YAY!

Had an early appointment with the new doctor for blood work & EKG –

(not that anything is WRONG – it’s a family history thing).

Then enjoyed a couple hours at the SPA……

Ivyland Nails is having an awesome deal on

Pedicures – they have this treatment on sale

called a SPA PEDICURE for $30 —

go get one … they use these fancy scrubs,

extra massage & more….ask for SAM.

Michael & I made plans to have dinner with friends & then

see a movie afterwards. We went to Galasso’s in Frenchtown, NJ.

It’s about an hour from Ivyland.

We ordered a few slices to share as appetizers.

We usually only get pizza but tonight I wanted to try

one of their entrees. Basa fish with artichokes,

tomatoes, capers over spinach. Real good!

We came HERE to see a movie.

Located in Lambertville, NJ

(about 30 minutes from Ivyland).

It used to be an old grocery store – ACME.

Now they use it for town hall meetings

& movies, apparently!

The movie we saw was really quite awesome.

It was called RIDE THE DIVIDE.

After the movie we planned to surprise a friend

Actually – WE were the ones surprised –

because Jim was a NO-SHOW!!!

As most of you know I’ve been sick & at this point I am

sick of being sick. I needed to get out &

DO SOMETHING! I heard Sam Calagione

(founder/owner of Dogfish Head Brewery) http://www.dogfish.com/

was going to be at a local wine/beer bar in Philadelphia (TRIA)

Walking in the city is quite amazing – I missed quite a few PHOTO OPS –

i need to venture out more in Center City Philadelphia.

on my way to meet SAM –

I discovered a “downtown DOG SCHOOL”

the dogs were all so cute -lined up in the window

waiting for their owners to come get them!!!

VIZSLA!! of course I had to get this photo!!

He was a young vizsla – I’m sure he needs school!

Made it to TRIA – no Sam yet.

They were using this contraption
