My partner SUZY for this weekend’s volleyball tournament
wanted to get together & practice. We were scheduled to play at
a place somewhat near my house (but not Suzy’s). It was VERY WINDY
& everyone cancelled. I wasn’t really sure where the courts were located
so Michael & I took a journey over to check out the courts.

My friend Steve is an engineer for SEPTA trains.
(the train I take to & from the city everyday).
On his shift he saw this EAGLE outside the airport.
HOW COOL. We don’t see Eagles at MY job!
There is a nature preserve nearby.
I haven’t been there YET but plan to go
next weekend for the wildlife & conservation festival.

Today was Michael’s Birthday which is pretty much the same as every other
day in Michael’s life…. He got up early & went into work on his day off then came
home & got on the computer to do more stuff for work. After that he weeded our
lawn & both neighbor lawns as well…he’s obsessed & has a NO WEED POLICY!

He wanted to go to TED’s Montana Grill for dinner.
It was ok. I wasn’t really hungry & ordered the two
mini burgers. One beef One Bison.

We met up with our friend Roy from the bike club,
brought neighbor Adam along
& did a 42 mile Labor Day bike ride. It was nice 🙂

Been trying to get Michael to MEMPHIS TAPROOM since I went there
a couple years ago. I strongly suspected he would like it…. and HE DID!
It’s not really convenient for us to go often but it was easy enough for us
to stop in tonight after the FLUGTAG event.
It is located on the border of the Port Richmond and Fishtown neighborhoods of Philly,
in the Kensington section of the city. Or, Port Fishington for short.
That’s about a 45 minute drive for us.

This sandwich got 10 mmmms our of 10. I would go back tomorrow & order the SAME thing &
I NEVER do that……
The fresh cut french fries were really very tasty too.
They were perfectly spiced, salty & peppery. Very Good.

Michael was impressed with ALL the bikes on the bike rack
outside the bar. Many people use bikes for
transportation in the city — unlike in the ‘burbs
where we generally just use our bicycles for recreation.
