10/19/14 Covered Bridges Ride 2014

10/19/14

Every year our bike club has a Covered Bridge ride
where about 2000 people from all over the
United States come to participate in.
(Cat, you should have been here!)

http://www.cbbikeclub.org/

The first Covered Bridge of the day.

our friend Don overzealously attempted the
62 mile Hilly ride & by the first rest stop
decided it was too much. so…..
off to the rescue we went!

me with bike club member Bruce
& friend Joyce who manages the entire event.

keep in mind! bikers get 4 feet when you pass them!

Chilly Autumn day= shoe covers!
Keeps the feet toasty.

friend Don who we rescued.
We ended up doing sweep on the 33 mile flat ride.

Me & Don, sweepers!

At the Covered Bridge on the 33 mile flat ride

we got back at 2pm on the dot….
despite Don’s prediction of us getting back
at 3:30pm….what???

I suggested this Poster should read
Information and ANSWERS (to questions).

Fun was had by ALL!
Maybe next year you can come join us??

Tonight we went to Chinatown for dinner.

It was a gift I gave my brother Larry for Christmas
and it’s his birthday (#60) this week so it was
a double celebration.

The Noodle shop was packed from the time

It was good but there are so many other places in
Chinatown I want to try. So next time, I am sure
we will test drive another place.

When I got home after a looooong day – my
computer was giving me the BLACK screen of death!

First, I panicked then I called neighbor Roman.
He’s my on call Geek Squad.

Roman to the rescue. He had me fixed up in no time
AND he said it was FUN….. really??

Apparently, the FIREFOX updates are wreaking havoc
on many computers. Roman advised me to start using Chrome.

Roman is lifesaver!
