Sunday 8/29/10

I always have Grand Illusions of relaxing on Sundays.

I kid myself week after week. For the record: I DO like to relax but I

always find “stuff’ that has to be done…..

Today, one thing I ALWAYS want to do is –

sit on our back deck & have a cup of coffee.

I actually did this today — see my Funky Monkey Mug?

I was also using my monkey pen to write up my

To Do List …. which obviously meant I would not

be relaxing as I always aspire to. Alas, I would be productive.

While sitting on the deck I did witness an amazing sight.

I watched a frog climb out of our pond onto a rock

& try to catch a bug. It was so totally cool & happened

way to fast (milliseconds) to even consider getting a picture.

so what’s up with the dress……??

Yesterday when I was at the beach, the bath house lady

Socorro gave me this dress. She said it was from Mexico
(where she is from) and got it for ME! Aren’t I LUCKY ? –

lady AND they give me GIFTS!!! too funny!

here is a close up of the design. If it is hand sewn it is A LOT

of work, In any case …. it’s the thought that counts?

sister Pat & I were off running errands –

Here we are at Wegman’s getting stuff for dinner.

We always like to get the mini carts & always bring

our own bags!

i grilled some carrots for dinner & learned

one pound of carrots does not make much.

they were VERY TASTY.

mmmmmmm MEAT!

We ALWAYS enjoy the rib eyes from Wegman’s……

i was in the “meat mood”…..

these were called Potato Au Gratin but they didn’t taste

too cheesey to me – isn’t that what au gratin is?

Michael liked them. I could live life with out potatoes.

Weasel actually knows how to eat corn on the cob.

We just have to teach her how to hold it herself….

almost finished my to do list…..I still want to read the paper….

Sometimes it takes me ’til Wednesday to finish the

Sunday paper – but I always do…..

….before reading the paper tonight

i still have to get clothes out of the dryer

& pack my gym bag for tomorrow morning……

5 a.m. comes quick…..

There were a couple of other things I did

before re-writing & re-prioritizing my list….

No wonder it is 9:30 and there are still

OPEN ITEMS on my to do list…..

life is good 🙂
