I have no idea what a dumpling squash is, or how to cook it, but it does have great colors and an interesting shape. When I saw it, my first thought was not how to cook it, but how to photograph it!!!
I know I can just Google recipes but I was wondering if people had favorite recipes. Fruits & veggies DO take nice picture. If only I learned how to use my "good camera". Note to self: take photography lessons. Stop talking about it & do it. Thanks for the inspiration Jackie 🙂
You know what Helen, you don’t even need to take lessons. When I bought my DSLR, I had only used a point & shoot & had no clue how to use it. I read the manual, looked at photos others took on Flickr and just went out shooting everything. If there was an effect I wanted to achieve, or to know how to shoot certain subjects, (such as the moon or fireworks) I looked it up online. Of course, if you take lessons, you have the advantage of bouncing ideas & questions off someone who may be able to answer them right away.Anyway, the key is to read the manual to get the basics down, then grab that camera, go for a walk and take tons & tons of pictures. Oh, and have fun!!
