Tuesday 1.14.14 gym, Spring House, From the Boot, Lucky Well, Broad Axe

Tuesday 1.14.14
one of the GOOD things about my job is the flexibility.
I love being able to go to the gym every day.
No one wants to taste wine early in the a.m.
Most of my appointments are in the afternoon.

I see this person at the gym often.
I always have to take a second look
to guess the gender.
your guess?

stopped here to buy the Blue Birds some mealworms.
It was rainy today so I couldn’t put them out.
They’d get all soggy.

Bag drop off to neighbor Denise.
Did you know Denise collects bags to
take to the food pantry??
All kinds of bags, paper, plastic, reusable.
She takes them ALL!

We all got these fancy trash cans (from Waste Management)
for trash & recycles.
We were all wondering what to do with the trash
cans we already had.
I think Roman & Denise figured it out.
But did the trash guys take it???

From the Boot was my next stop.
Nothing going on there, yet…..

LUCKY WELL before the crowds ascend.
This place is ALWAYS busy.
The only thing they buy from me is Whiskey.

my last stop was BROAD AXE TAVERN.
He was selling a lot of my wine but he likes to
change up the specials.
Now I need to find another one….

Monday 1.13.14 Bluebird, car, work wine, BOOKS

Monday 1.13.14
There have been Bluebirds hanging around.
Can you see this one??

I need to get some Mealworms for them.

the neighbors water debacle continues.
This time they were having the water turned
back on.

our neighbors brought us back a gift from ARUBA.
very thoughtful.

Remember I was looking for a car for a friend???

Well…. this is the car she ended up buying.

She surprised her daughter Rachel with it!!!

Thanks for the referral Jesse!!
Does anyone else need a car??

Spent the day working from home today.

I FINALLY finished reading this book
It was a series of book that was like
a modern day Harry Potter.

I’ve been reading this book every morning.
Just one chapter a day.

I started reading this book – just about 15-30 minutes/day.
Better than not reading at all.
SO far I really like it & am quite intrigued.

I used to read all the time when I took the train.
Now I don’t make the time, but I am changing that!

Sunday 1/12/14 Hike with the Bike Club

Sunday 1/12/14

Today we were doing a hike with the Bike Club.
We started at Bulls Island in NJ

where we often start bike rides.

all bundled up – ready for a HIKE!

One girl hiked with her baby!!

Tom Thorsen, a naturalist and steward of the
Hunterdon Land Trust was our hike leader.

Sad deer on the side of the road.
There was something wrong with him & we had
to call the police “to take care of him”…..
if you know what I mean…..

We hiked the Zega-Lockatong trail.

This trail has some ups and downs.
Michael helping with Scout, the dog.

the trail goes along Lockatong Creek.

The water was too high to go the regular way
so some of us climbed this steep incline to continue.
Others went back & we rejoined them later.

How much is that Doggie in the Window??

We saw this guy on River Rd riding a Lightning F40.
WE stopped & took pictures.

Pretty cool, right??

Is it a rocket? Is it a car?
No, it’s a push bike clad in aerodynamic fairing.

the MERLIN BIRD….a frequent visitor to our bird feeders.
He was hanging out on our bell tower looking for breakfast..

It’s a PRIUS. yes, quite ugly.
but allegedly it gets good gas mileage.

i generally just never have enough time to COOK…..

I made a baby spinach/kale salad with a lemon salad dressing that i concocted

Friday 1.10.14 Weasel, Yardley, Raymond, Blue Dog – Bill & Denise

Friday 1.10.14

the roads were not great for driving

I stopped at Yardley Country Club –
trying to do some business here

I saw this Vulture on a wall

got a picture of it in flight

the Delaware River was Ice logged!!
Flooding was a concern.

the car drove all the way inside the store….

a 76 year old lady said she was pulling into the parking spot in front of the store when her foot slipped off the brake onto the gas pedal…….

stopped to see brother Raymond in action

1.9.14 ~ POLICE activity, Weasel, Bethlehem, coffee shop

This was all BEFORE 5 a.m. in the morning…..

vacationing neighbors had a water pipe break.
there was a river flowing from their house.

Water Department guy turning off the water.

Now we have an Ice Skating Rink on Lacey Ave sidewalk.

Welcome Back from Hawaii – Denise & Roman!!!

met them at the diner for a coffee before they went home

today was spent making Sales calls in Bethlehem.
It’s about 1.5 hours from my house.

Met kids from Lehigh University crew team
sitting outside Hotel Bethlehem.
They were on a scavenger hunt.

visited THE JOINT before my next appointment

I discovered IVY the pig inside the Joint.
She was the prize for the rib cook off this past summer.

My office away from home.
I love discovering non-Starbucks coffee shops.

we ate at TO-YO – one of my accounts in Doylestown

I love this Spicy Crunchy Tuna Roll

I love that 6 of their 8 wines are MINE.

had good luck here at Doylestown Inn.
Anyone know ED DOHERTY? He owns this place.

Stopped at Paganini Wine bar & took a gander
at their Beer Bar while I was there.
Beer peeps…. we NEED to get our butts here.
Awesome line up.

& an impromptu Office……

Main Street Animal Hospital – Weasel needed DRUGS!
She’s on Deramaxx – it helps with her creakiness.

one of my last stops was to see Kyle at the LOFT
but he was already gone for the day.
nabrasa is adding an addition.
Love the smell of new wood.

Wine du jour. Italian red blend.
