Tuesday 5/21/13 gym, insurance meeting, Sales calls, KC Prime

Tuesday 5/21/13

It’s been over a week since I’ve been to the gym.
I missed this place!!!

on the right is Carmine.
I used to work for him in the Wine business.
Now he works for New York Life insurance
& he invited me to a meeting that was
held at Cafe Michelangelo – a restaurant his
brother owns.

Carmine with Al Taubenberger – the president of
the Greater Northeast Chamber of Commerce

today’s seminar was on Long Term Care Insurance –
apparently this is a hot topic as I am attending
a seminar Tuesday on the same subject.

Does anyone need more information??
Let me know!!!

I went into the office & on my way home I stopped
for a sales call at Macaroni’s in NE Philly.
We used to eat here a lot but now it’s not
too convenient so we only go occasionally

I love the Winebow tag line …..
Relentless in the pursuit of the finest wines…..

I had to make a sales call here at KC PRIME

I got a snack while I was there:

Thick cut bacon
House smoked, baby arugula, all natural maple syrup

I would highly recommend this appetizer!

I had to drop off a few samples of wine.
I really like this white wine blend.
If you see it in the store buy it!
it’s about $10

I also left this sample.
Falesco – Sangiovese.

both wines are for an event being held at KC Prime
on Tuesday.

Friend Jesse is having a Long Term care seminar.
Let me know if you would like to attend.
I know the food & wine will be good
& I’m sure the content will be informative!

Chester – nervous at the Veterinarian office

Chester getting his sutures removed

THIS looks GOOD!
~Chester has a condition called furunculosis.
He doesn’t have cancer & he’s not scheduled
to die any time soon!

The “good” part of furunculosis is treatable.
Chester will be on antibiotics for a few months.

Last night of Volleyball 😦
that’s ok – it’s time to go outdoors anyway!

friend Jim was out of town so neighbor Deb came
to “work” with me. We went to Iron Abbey
& visited with one of my accounts.

Michael’s new bed arriving at his new apartment
in Rochester, NY

(thanks Mary’s Mom!)

Saturday 5.18.13 Biking & Ivyland Rib Cook-off

Saturday 5.18.13

After a week of Wine School I NEEDED a bike ride!
Amazon Joe, Joyce, Helen, Joanne, Joe
Michael taking picture &
Greg not in the picture

Crossing the bridge into NJ

The Geese Family ….awwwww
see all the babies???

38 miles burns a lot of calories!
I needed to do some pre-burning of calories
so I could eat at tonight’s cooking contest

neighbors Roman & Denise were hosting our
Inaugural Ivyand Rib Off

Denise & Roman with the Prize for First Place

Friends Stu & Lynne hoping for a WIN

Tanya presenting “IVY” the Pig to Roman for First Place.
Roman’s ribs were the best – I voted for them.

*for the record…… I planned on cooking but went biking instead. I had this grandiose plan of buying my ribs from the BBQ store at the Farmers Market —
BUT — they had everything EXCEPT ribs 😦
COSTCO to the rescue – but they didn’t even come close
to winning….. Maybe next time I will actually cook???

Evening Entertainment compliments of Kevin –
Tanya’s bf

Happy Birthday DAN 🙂

Lynne performing stain removal on Chris

Me & Lynne — friends for a long time —
since we were 13…. You do the math!!!

TWO, apparently!

Friend Mary & Michael trying to get the heater
started so we could be toasty on the deck.

ALWAYS something to be Thankful for…..

Mary’s mom recently passed away & she
needed to find a good home for a couple things.

Can anyone use this Entertainment Center??
It’s really nice & needs a good home.
