GYM was packed today.

Everyone was working off Thanksgiving dinner

in advance….good thinking!

I do not know why this is on display

but men were reclining while their wives shopped!

Who uses a CART in the liquor store?

Do you know what these are?

And if so, Where in a liquor store would you look for them?

Tasting wine at school!

It sounds FUN, & it is but it is

REALLY CHALLENGING!

We learned about SPARKLING WINES tonight.

There are 3 methods to make them:

Traditional, Tank & Transfer method.

There, you learned something new!

ahhh Wine & Cheese – exactly!

I never drink “alone”……

He had an ultrasound today which confirmed

what we suspected. He DEFINITELY has

doggie Pancreatitis. He will be on antibiotics for

2 weeks & a low fat diet for LIFE!

No fat for him. The Doctor said FAT for

Chester is POISON. Please do not feed Chester

ANY snacks when you are over our house.

He could DIE!

Going to the veterinarian is one of his

least favorite things to do!

X-Ray ruled out that he had BLOAT &

indicated he may have pancreatitis.

He has to get an ultrasound to confirm what is suspected.

After work today I had a Volleyball double header.

We won one game — our team isn’t the greatest

but it is fun getting out & playing!

After Volleyball I met up with Michael & friend Jim

at the Iron Abbey. It was time for some

decompressing. It was a BUSY & tiring weekend

with Chester, then today it was crazy.

Went to the Vet, right to work then to volleyball.

Just needed a little relax time!

Saw 11:11 on my phone –

I always think this is a LUCKY SIGN –

of what, I don’t know!

How many people use their pet’s names

as passwords????

November 18th 2012 Chester to the Emergency Room Vet

November 18th 2012

Chester was not acting like Chester.

He was pacing & panting, laying in the grass

“sphinx style”, stretching & acting extremely

uncomfortable. I was concerned.

sister PAT & I took him to the ER Vet

late Saturday night & were there until

early Sunday morning.

The dog in this placard reminded me of a Vizsla.

Chester was already in the back with a Veterinarian

getting X-Rays when I took this picture.

Don’t worry I didn’t delay any further!

The animal ER was quite busy. You can’t see

everyone but there were people & animals

in other rooms. I thought they needed another

Vet to handle all the sick animals.

this doggie got to go home – I don’t know what

his problem was but he was very Friendly!

A few other animals didn’t get to go home….

The $685 cup of coffee – who knows WHY??

Chester Rose Butt Sniffer – the patient.

The ER VET wasn’t sure what was wrong with him.

He had a 104 fever & VERY high heart rate.

His pancreas levels & white blood cell counts

were OFF THE CHART.

She wanted to keep him until Monday but he

was very unhappy there – so we got instructions

from the Vet & brought him home.

(& saved a lot of money too.)

Chester very uncomfortable. Me too.

He was doing this thing with his neck.

Kept sticking it out & stretching it.

Looking forward to getting some answers.

Hopefully my regular vet can take him ASAP.

Besides tending to Chester

I spent my day STUDYING.

I cannot do enough.

My wine exam is December 11th.

Any volunteers to sit for me???

We love our doggies!!!!

Been trying to get to Beautyland forever –

it’s just never convenient but today I

went right from the gym

Been on the hunt for Tea Tree Shampoo –

by Paul Mitchell. Let me know if you see it –

I haven’t been able to find it.

Today I got an imposter

– I’ll let you know how my hair likes it.

The dogs get daily drugs & I have to wrap them up

in Cheese. It’s the Kraft singles – we call it

“Chester Cheese”.

When I open the refrigerator it’s

like they have radar & know they are getting it!!

as you know we are STUFFING BAGS -not Turkeys.

Friday 11/16/12 Beaujolais is here, COOL VINES & Blue Point Grill

stopped to get pretzels for the co-workers

& was trying to find out WHY they had to

throw out that trash can full of pretzels.

Due to a language barrier I never found out!

Beaujolais Noveau is here!!!

This is a young wine released each year the

3rd Thursday of November.

It is pressed young so it is quite fruity

& slightly tart. No complexity here.

The 2012 vintage is vibrant,

fruit-forward and best served chilled.

Also – this may be the location of

my first tasting that I do for St Germain.

We went to the BLUE POINT GRILL for dinner.

It is a BYOB & has seafood – a great combination for me!

Blue Point was a cute little place

& you really need reservations.

We lucked out & got seats at the raw bar.

We actually prefer these seats because you

get a show with the meal!

Watching all the cooks work & sweat!!!

Quite the production.

with a few appetizers & shared.

so since Michael had an eclectic collection

we invited some friends over & tasted some
