After Sandy the Storm, NY had an Earthquake

& this week SNOW!!! It’s not a lot but still!!!

our houseguests saying goodbye —

They were without power for TEN DAYS.

It was fun having them here!!!

As part of our one year anniversary at work

they set up a Sundae Bar for us!!!

This is the Kitty that WAS up for adoption

& is no longer available 😦

I found him a home & everything!!

SO CUTE!!

Friday at work they gave us lunch
& this fancy cheese/fruit plate.

They sure like to feed us!!!

Earlier in the week it was cookie & milk day.

Glad I missed that!

HELEN – 1 year of Service – woo hoo!

One thing I love about the dogs is

they are NOT food aggressive. They can

share food bowls right next to each other

& sometimes even share the same bowl!

Thursday 11/8/12 Vino Bliss Wine Tasting @ DiBruno Brothers

Tonight I attended a Wine Tasting Networking Event

at DiBruno Brothers in Center City.

Friend Kathy attended Drexel University & through her

alumni association we were invited to the event.

Nathan Newport ’06 and his partner Heinz Volquarts

presented a class featuring wines from

their importing company, ViNo Bliss.

Crémant De Loire

Crémant is used to refer to sparkling wine

not made in the Champagne region.

This was a VERY INTERESTING wine as it was

made solely with the Cabernet Franc grape.

this was the first red we tried & we all liked it.

Another wine made with 100% Cabernet Franc.

It was nice lighter style wine with bright

fruit flavors, very enjoyable.

11/7/12 Houseguests, SNOW! wine tasting, need celery?

milk, bread & toilet paper…..

St. Germain Elderflower liqueur is made with fresh wild elderflowers picked in the Alps.

I might be working some tastings for them.

Have to figure out the details but it looks good.

11/6/12 got power?? Election Day, Wine School

Class was quite busy today.

I guess everyone was recovered from the storm

& getting their workout in before the next storms hits!

I stopped at the pretzel store to get pretzels

for the workers at the polls

off to the polls. I’m going to vote!

Our Polling place is at the local Church.

I was #164 ~ we had 457 voters come out yesterday

(out of about 500).

stopped over friend Joyce’s house.

But first I must wait til all the runners exiting from the train

to get to their cars or else I’ll get run over, literally!

Wine class is held at a culinary school.

They were prepping for tomorrow’s dinner.

this week’s plan…..

always great to start the week with the gym.

this is a new class, attendance was lean.

I haven’t participated in any swim classes,

I’m not sure I am old enough?

I FOUND all the tree doctor trucks AND

Utility tucks …………

they were hanging out in the Walmart shopping center.

I guess it is a staging area for them?

my dentist’s fish — Hermey

Anyone know where this name comes from????

I broke a tooth & needed a fix.

DISLIKE going to the dentist even though I like him!

a light indicator came on in my car & said I needed

a new headlight. Went to my mechanic & he fixed it on

the spot. I love my guys. If you need a trustworthy

responsible mechanic I have the guy!

Mailing Mail -who is getting FAN MAIL from Helen?

I needed stamps while at the post office.

When is the lat time you MAILED A SMILE??

I mailed a few today!!!!

cruised past friend Dave’s house to drop off

coupon’s for FREE Dunkin Donuts.

I wonder who Mayor Bob is going to vote for ………

Weasel thinks if she ignores Max he will go away.

He doesn’t…..he is a temporary house guest.

We bought furniture to match the dogs fur,

really.

Sunday 11/4/12 Jungle Gym, Fred’s, gas shortage

friend Vanessa teaches at Body Tech Fitness.

The gym is located in Lambertville, NJ

& they are out of power.

Fortunately, the class we were doing today was

JUNGLE GYM – basically an outdoor boot camp.

Extreme Boot Camp was on today’s agenda

Next demo was on the agility ladder

and this was some exercise with

pushups & burpees

AFTER (we’re still smiling!)

Burpees, not my favorite exercise!

To perform a basic burpee, just follow these instructions:

Begin in a squat position with hands on the floor in front of you.
Kick your feet back to a pushup position.
Immediately return your feet to the squat position.
Leap up as high as possible from the squat position.
