10/27/12 Bird Seminar with Joyce, meeting Charles, Touch the Truck

friend Joyce alerted met to a bird seminar

being held at the local garden center

Saturday morning

after the seminar ~ Me with Debbie “Hawaii” –

the speaker for the event

AND gave me a wine contact…..

All I have to say it timing is everything.

You have to be in the right place at

the right time. Timing.

friday 10/26/12 BOO-ed, wine tasting NOT, pizza party!

Went to the gym & right to work from the gym.

There was a substitute today so not too many people

showed up — as you can see!

We got BOO-ed —

we have to fill up a bag of goodies

& deliver to some unsuspecting neighbors

Wednesday 10/24/12 making TIME, wine tasting prep, workshop, winetasting, drugs

Wednesday 10/24/12

many people say they wish they went to the gym

but don’t have TIME. If you know me (and if you are reading this you probably do) I often comment I am time deprived

but still make it regularly to the gym. Then I realized:

You don’t fit things in – you MAKE TIME for what is

important to you. What are your priorities?

I was doing a wine tasting later so you would

probably agree: I NEEDED a manicure!

Gotta put your best foot forward – or in this case

my best HAND forward……..

I went with Windsor Castle (the color!)

Happy Haunting at Neighbor Don’s house.

We have quite the festive neighborhood!

Maybe she is part Mike? He doesn’t like his

picture taken either…..steals the soul……

The Blue dog bed is Weasel’s car bed which I

brought in to wash. Instead of taking it back out

to the car I threw it on top of Chester’s bed

& now they are really enjoying the double

decker bed. AND, more importantly,

Picassa Bitch Cat has not been on it.

Maybe Chester has reclaimed his bed?

(when Weasel is not borrowing it)

PA CareerLink – I attended a brief class on

a program called WIA – which is an acronym for

Workforce Investment Act.

If you qualify you work one on one with a

counselor & possibly get job training too.

neighbor Denise visited me at tonight’s wine tasting event.

My next event will be Wednesday 11/7 back at the

Warrington store. The tasting will have white wine,

chocolate wine, pinot noir & vodka.

Come visit 5-7pm!

10/23/12 Emergency Room, reinvention, jobs

10/23/12

started the day at the gym!!! It got pretty busy.

Michael re-sealed the driveway. I wasn’t too happy

with how it turned out though in this picture it

looks kind of artsy?

I had to take Michael to the ER because his leg

was swollen & when the DR did an ultrasound they

discovered he had a blood clot. Apparently,

blood clots are not a good thing to have?

but, according to Michael, you have to

die of something!

Danny called ahead & told them we were coming.

Michael getting blood drawn. He was released

and now has to take drugs to thin his blood.

Danny came over after work so I could leave

to go to school.

A couple wines we tried in school tonight.

We learned about Spain & Portugal.

It’s all so confusing. I hope I “get it”.

The exam will be here sooner than later.

I am attending a wine tasting/networking event

in a couple weeks. Is anyone interested in

attending with me?? It’s only $10!!!

husband who works at Penn as

Director of Department of Financial Training.

I already applied for one job as a Trust Administrator

with Paul’s endorsement. It can’t hurt!

I guess I can always do wine at night & on weekends?

Monday 10/22/12 TV debut on the Katie Couric show!

Monday 10/22/12

for those who haven’t been following my story

on Facebook/LinkedIn…… I got invited to be on the

Katie Couric show. A friend knows the producer of the show.

They were doing a segment on reinvention & there was

going to be a coach who helps people over 40 transition from

one career to another. Friend MB knew I was in the financial

industry for 24 years & would love to successfully

transition into the Wine Industry – which I LOVE –

as you all know…… here’s the day’s journey to NYC!

The show I am on airs on Wednesday 10/24 at 3pm

10/21/12 gym, shopping , birthday dinner at Tacconelli’s

I went to the gym after running with Chester.

We were going out to dinner & I wanted to burn

my calories before I ate them!

I went to Ann Taylor Loft to get a new outfit

for my TV debut! They’re kind of pricey but

their clothes are nice & quality.

Tacconelli’s is a famous pizza place

in Philadelphia. It wins BEST OF awards

all the time. We were here for my brother
