today I attended the JUMP START job seminar.
I went to one in the Spring & it was super informative –
as this one was!!!!

Ford Meyers was one of the presenters.
He gave us  A LOT of useful information.

It was really good.

friend Joyce told me about a seamstress in her
neighborhood. I took my shirts to her =
she will hem them AND adjust the sleeves
for only FIVE DOLLARS (each)! that’s a bargain.
I’d still prefer girl shirts though!

sister Pat got a new bike — it’s a SEVEN Speed.
She already assured me she will NOT be going
on bike rides with Michael & me.
any exercise is GOOD exercise!

If you stumble upon it in a store I would

10/15/12 gym, studying volleyball, Iron Abbey

for some reason I don’t usually go to the gym on
Mondays – maybe bc I’m tired from the weekend?
In any case – class was empty.  9 vs 30 people in class.
I might have to start going on Mondays!

yes, it started late.

after the gym I pretty much studied all day.
have I mentioned how challenging wine school is?
WHY am I doing this???

I had to get my favorite pair of jeans taken in
bc they are way too big which is a good thing!!
It’s kind of expensive though $20 –
cheaper than a new pair of jeans…..
unless you get them at the thrift shop
for a dollar…….

I needed to get this long sleeved shirt hemmed
but the cleaners wanted $14 to do it – Forget it!!
I’ll just cut it with scissors unless someone
wants to volunteer to hem it for me??
Why can’t they have Women’s Style
T-shirts anyway??
That’s my recommendation for next
year’s Covered Bridge Ride.

Tonight I had a off from women’s volleyball so I
went with Michael to play in his pick up league

Our friend Jim runs the league.
It’s held at a new High School in Upper Dublin
 – it’s NICE! yes, taxes went up when they built it.

so I guess it’s a great game each time
they play — you know, cuz there’s a Cardinal!

A TRAIN!!!  This train was going over the tracks
on Street Road at Park Ave — I can’t say I have
EVER seen a train use those tacks —
there aren’t even RR arms to keep
cars from driving onto the tracks when
the train is coming!!

finally got around to lining up all my birthday cards.

I can’t tell you the last time I went to the gym
on a SUNDAY!!  but I felt great after our 40 mile
bike ride yesterday & there was a boot camp
class by Kristin so I went to the gym!

it started late as usual & there were A LOT of people.
probably at least 40 by the time class started.
Kristin is a GOOD instructor!!

after the gym I stopped at my produce stand.
Got some peppers & eggplants besides the eggs.
six bucks for all of it!

picked up a couple ingredients for today’s cooking adventure.
I made eggs topped with chorizo, shallots & peppadew peppers.
I was also making spinach & beans, cheesey garlic bread
& roasted peppers.
