Tuesday 9/18/12 gym, work, school……..

today was a full class at the gym.
The gym was closed last week so they could do improvements. Of course, they did NOTHING.
Typical for LA FITNESS.
The gym/facility is lacking –
the Class & Instructor are amazing.

(yes, class started 10 minutes late)

I had a close encounter with the garage door.
My first one in 9 years…. oops.
No worries – Michael fixed it.
It was mostly just white stuff on the car,
nothing major, fortunately!

aka “Rooster Wine” : A BIG BIRD for A BIG DAY.
They ended up taking it down —
I guess it could have more than one meaning?

Italian wine tasting today –

the skies were ominous…..

from Wine School.. I’m a Lucky Parker!!

Tonight’s class & tasting was French Bordeaux’s.
It’s all so confusing.  If anyone knows about this
region & these wines I will accept tutoring!

Today I attended a workshop at PA CareerLink —

PA CareerLink is Pennsylvania’s one-stop service for job seekers.
 Career Link resources include job listings, unemployment information, and training resources. Everything is FREE. great resource.

Currently, I know 6 people who recently got laid
off from their jobs, what is going on?
Is something in the water??
 I’ve been looking for a YEAR!

In a couple weeks this park will be
overflowing with Cyclists.
Each year our Bike Club sponsors the
Covered Bridge Ride which begins here.

We were doing some recon work for the
pending Bike Ride – we may have to re-route
part of the ride onto this cinder road because of
a bridge that is out

A too tall truck plowed through the bridge
knocking out every one of the boards.
Fortunately they caught the guy who damaged the bridge.
Unfortunately for us it puts a hiccup in 3 of our
5 rides – so alternatives must be sought.

a recovery exercise day after beach volleyball.

I finally forced myself to get it started. ugh.
Wine school sounds FUN but it is VERY CHALLENGING.
Enough so that I was questioning WHY I am
doing this!!??!!

today was the last tournament in Point Pleasant.
There’s one last tournament of the season
next weekend in Seaside Heights, NJ.

Mostly just volleyball players not any
real beach goers – which was a shame bc
it was sooooo nice!!

Amazing Dolphin Rescue

9/12/12 surprise lay off :( & dinner birthday #6 with AVA

not anymore, today he got laid off after 15 years 😦
Yes, it was very SHOCKING & honestly it does
freak me out just a little but I always believe
every adversity has a benefit – we just have to find it.
any ideas?

plus let’s not forget I have also been unemployed
(full time) for the past year, not for lack of trying.
