Sunday April 15th 2012 Baltimore Harbor, Maryland

Sunday April 15th 2012

We left Richmond, VA & headed home.
We stopped in Baltimore to walk the Harbor &
grab lunch on our way home. It’s about halfway.

Img_6363
We stopped at DICK’s Last Resort
before walking the Harbor.
They are MEAN to you there.
That’s their m.o……

We went to MO’s – a “dive” seafood restaurant
right near Baltimore Harbor –
off the beaten path……

I like to get OYSTERS when restaurants have them.
They’re a treat for me. I know everyone doesn’t like
them – but I do!!

4/15/12 Foodie Photo-A-Day "sweetener of choice"

4/15/12
Today’s Foodie Photo-A-Day challenge is
one’s “sweetener of choice”

P1040059
SUGAR it is for me.
I’ve tried the “others” —
pink, green, yellow & blue – I just don’t like them.
I DO like honey & agave nectar
& I will use those when I can.

P1040060
I took the SUGAR photo at Starbucks today.
I don’t usually save my receipts but this one
had the grand total of $8.88.
Since EIGHT is my favorite number I was very excited !
it doesn’t take much…..
Q
I thought this was a sweet picture…..
R
where am I????

4/14/12 April Foodie Photo-A-Day "Groceries"

4/14/12
just because I was out of town doesn’t mean
I wasn’t going to NOT do my picture challenge….

A
Wegmans is where sister Pat buys a lot
of our groceries. It’s a store originally
from Rochester, NY & they are now
expanding into the East Coast.

Giant
I usually run to GIANT as MY go-to grocery store.
They ALWAYS support neighbor Denise in her
food bank efforts.
Joes
I do like shopping at Trader Joe’s but it’s not really
convenient so I only go there occasionally
P1040060
sister Pat does the majority of grocery shopping
& she keeps us well stocked…..see the next picture….
P1040062
What do you think????
Lots of stuff to eat,
let me know if you need anything….
R
Picassa eats Meow Mix.
Michael buys that.
T
Michael buys the dog food too.

Friday the 13th, April 2012 dogs, work, Fast Food

Friday the 13th, April 2012

1
how did you make out today?
anything spooky happen??

A
before work
 – dogs & I go for a stroll in the neighborhood –
we weren’t up for run.
Check out Chester’s shadow – he looks big & feroscious.
Aa
Fast food?
Today’s Foodie Photo-A-Day was “Fast Food”
~I really like eggs & can whip up a fried egg or
scrambled egg tortilla in a jiffy.
Aaa
of course when I heard that FAST FOOD was the project
I immediately thought of my favorite –
Taco Bell – I really like Mexican Food.
Taco Bell is the only fast food place I’ll go to
( bc we don’t have Del Taco…….)
Bryn20and20danes20logo
Then there is always THIS option –
for HEALTHY Fast Food at Bryn & Dane’s.
Still have not been to their new store but
will get there eventually.
Like I said – I really do NOT eat fast food.
If all the Fast Food restaurants disappeared forever
I could live happily ever after.
Good20foods
most of these foods are fairly “fast”

Traffic Jam at work today…..
it was a busy busy day.
Personal
my friend Shannon posted something on facebook
where you google (images) your fist name & post the first
picture that shows up —interestingly enough —
A photo of ME was first.

Sandhill20crane
friend Howard Eskin at it again.
Today he got this awesome photo of a Sandhill Crane
at a nearby park (Bradford Dam, Jim, in your back yard!).
this was a very rare sighting as only a handful have
ever been seen in Bucks county.
Learn & see more here:

Saude-creek-vineyards-new-kent
if there is silence on the Picture of the Day front
it is bc I will be here at Saudé Creek Vineyards
located in historic New Kent County, Virginia.
probably a 5 hour drive from Ivyland.
CHEERS!

Thursday 4/12/12

on my way to work…..
P1040042
wanted to share the clouds with you –
thought it was cool, don’t you?
P1040045
Today we had a presentation on this Liqueur.
St. Germain – ever have it??
Quite interesting & tasty! Maybe we need a
St Gemain cocktail party? Who’s in?

P1040046
found a Happy note on my car after work today –
Thank you RMK!
P1040049
Day 12 of Foodie Photo-A-Day

 “oldest item in kitchen”

I had two items that were quite old.
A flour sifter & an ice pick
(which is probably one of my favorite utensils).

These belonged to my mom & she died 24 years ago.
She had them for awhile herself — so I am really
uncertain how old they really are.
OLD, is all I know……

Q
What are YOU doing next Friday, April 20th??
I have an idea for you……
Brother Raymond has an exhibition –
stop by & say Hello – tell him I sent you!

S
he’s not heavy………….

T
