Michael feeds the deer….. none have come yet….

Salt lick for the deer. Still no takers.

Had a BIG FAT Bluebird (of happiness)

at my feeder. This guy is a tub of lard!

I’ve never seen a bluebird THIS FAT!

got some mail organized today.

after a day of relaxing & reading…..

I had No choice…..

It’s probably more accurate to say,

Casal Garcia Vinho Verde

Casal Garcia Vinho Verde

is a blend of the native Portuguese varietals

Loureiro, Trajadura, Arinto and Azal,

from the Vinho Verde appellation of Portugal.

It is very light yellow in color, with a slight nose of citrus,

and a crisp, spritzy acidity. VERY Light in body with no oak and no tannins, Casal Garcia is light and refreshing, and ready to drink!

Don’t be afraid to serve this bottle

at a colder temperature than non-sparkling wines

the goal here is refreshment, not elaborate tasting notes.

That’s the review I found on line….not how I really feel.

MANY customers buy & like this wine. I’m not a lover.

This reminded me of wine flavored water –

kind of like how Coors light is beer flavored water.

Not the style of wine I like but wanted to try

because multitudes do like it & buy it ($4.99).

Probably a good wine for a beginner wine drinker?

ME? What do I do with wine I open & don’t like?

Make Sangria, of course!

FREE VASES —

these are all really nice – especially the YELLOW ONES –

we just have a superfluous amount of vases & we

need to get rid of some. Can you use one or more?

this place on my way home from work.

I heard good things about it.

Both were really good, fresh & tasty!

Plus a pleasant presentation.

He tore his Achilles tendon just in time

for Winter Hibernation.

WE hope he is whipped back in shape

& recovered for volleyball/biking summer season.

messed up tendons don’t interfere with your drinking hand.

e picked up Jim & headed to the Iron Abbey:

a beer Mecca for all types of imbibers.

This was my sampler & it was quite intense.

Especially the 2nd from the left –

of EIGHT (my favorite #) beers!!

thursday 1/12/12 , Veterinarian, dinner with Danny & Rachael

Thursday 1/12/12

Chester & Weasel had vet appointments today.

Chester was back for a check up on his paw

& Weasel was in for a manicure.

Chester was having a lump aspirated –

it looks to be just a fatty tumor, thankfully!

shorter but still longer than I like —

the other Vet cuts them really short.

Now it looks like she needs them filed.

Any volunteers?

Bones for the dogs since they were on such

good behavior — I got these at the Farm Show

earlier this week. All natural bones,

NOT made in China…….

Do NOT buy ANY treats made in China —

check your treats – they could be lethal!!!

overdue dinner with danny diehl & his now not so

new girlfriend Rachael. We were suppose to

have dinner with them a few weeks ago but

the last time we scheduled it

they were in an accident on the way to dinner.

The deer lost…..

Dinner was at Florentino’s in Newtown.

20 minutes from Ivyland.

was so blurry otherwise I would have demanded

a retake!!!

Rachael is super nice – we like her a lot!

the 3 wines for dinner & did not like ANY.

I usually like the Ripasso but it was uninspired.

The Portuguese Vinho Verdi tasted like water

flavored wine – like Coors light – but wine–

“Wine Light”.

Lastly -I was looking forward to trying the

Prosecco but it left me disappointed – was not

like most Prosecco’s I know & like.

Don’t buy ANY of these. Trust me.

Scallops in an alleged brandy sauce –

just ok.

A BIG plate of Lasagna.

Something about a HUGE plate of food

I find very unappetizing….

Michael & Pat both had this & was “ok”

I had a penne dish —

looks good but incredibly average…….

Brother Ray lives nearby so we stopped

by his house after dinner.

He was having a dinner party so we fit right in.

1/11/12 Birds, Tacos, Raymond, service dog

hunted all over for these worms.

Wasn’t sure if the bluebirds would eat them,

but they DO as do the finches and occasional robin.

Finally found the worms at LOWE’S.

this is NOT my feeder — but if you ever see it –

the hand with a bird wearing a cap please

get it for me!!!!

i tried making Pretzel Bark – it came out ok.

tasty – what’s not to like?

I had a Social Living coupon for Taco Loco

so my friend Mary & I went to New Hope for lunch.

I need to go there on a TUESDAY!!!

1/10/12 Pennsylvania Farm Show ADVENTURE

Every year my friend Jesse tells me about

the PA Farm Show & how FUN it is.

This year I was off work & invited myself

on the adventure…..Jesse, Molly

& their four children – that in itself

is a daring adventure.
