Each meeting the “wordmaster” of the night chooses a new word
& throughout the night people try to use it in their talks.
I was the first to use it tonight!! hehe!

Tonight’s Toastmaster meeting was quite CONVIVIAL.

Chateau Cote Montpezat Cotes de Castillon 2000

Chateau Cote Montpezat 2000

(french, $17)

This particular Bordeaux is a blend of the following:
70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon

~This wine has a violet hue not super rich in color.
~On the bouquet I got hints of spice, tobacco & some green pepper.
This is not a real fruity wine, it’s acidic but not overwhelmingly so.
Tannins are light, it’s medium body, pleasant with slight floral flavor.
Also tastes of some cherry & definitely EARTHY flavor
(which is characteristic for a French wine).
Not much of a finish. Drink now.

You could pair this with a seafood dish or chicken in a heartier sauce.

For those that prefer a medium bodied wine this could fit the bill.
Personally, I’m a big, chewy, inky red girl (most times)!

People concoct all kinds of excuses to explain their bad decisions:

If I had more money, I could be happy.

My brother wanted a butter dish so he could
leave his butter out but you’re really not
supposed to do that. This allegedly makes it safe.

inflamed leg. It looks way better. Not sure if it is
b/c of the “real” drugs or the herbal antidote?

I had the chance to try this Port.
I’m “generally” not a Port drinker, that is,
until I drank this. I think this could change
ANYBODY’s mind about Port….
Basically, Port is a fortified wine.
Brandy is added to wine & you get Port.

with a Bordeaux Tasting.  oooo la la

We tried a new restaurant tonight called
Cafe Remi – we liked it!!

These are delectable Albanian “bureks” —
phyllo dough filled with tasty ingredients –
spinach, cheese, potatoes, mushrooms.

(good for breakfast too!)

I needed a bacon egg & cheese today.
It was a VERY Late night and after
tasting NINE beers last night
(yes Jim, we continued on w/o you….)
this was “the cure”. Plus, I generally don’t get a
chance to eat at work so I need to have a
hearty meal before going in.

Don’t eat this.
 It’s awful, but the dogs like it.
I do not.  I like cottage cheese but not with
the artificial strawberry shortcake.
What was I thinking???

EAT THESE. 
 These are deliciousness self-contained in an orange.
We got this bag of 10 oranges for only $6 at Costco.
I say only b/c yesterday when I was shopping (at a regular store)
 oranges were $1 EACH!!! When did fruit get so expensive??
They are the size of small grapefruits
& really really TASTY!
Trust me on this one. The dogs are NOT getting these.
