2009 Cabernet Sauvignon

What I see: Dark Ruby Red color.

What I smell: Strong aroma of Cherry & Blackberries.

Taste: There’s a lot of fruit going on here.

Full bodied with hints of black currants, dark berries

& black pepper — yes, it’s SPICY in a nice way.

14% alcohol. long finish. tasty BIG RED.

Let this breathe a bit before serving.

Can be cellared for a few years at least

& most likely will improve with aging.

Would pair nicely with a steak, rich pasta dish

and even chocolate cake!

I LOVE this wine so much I should MARRY it!

11-30-11 Interview, Tuesday Morning, Pink Footed Goose

Wasn’t sure if I was feeling the love…..

TUESDAY MORNING…..

have you heard of this place and or been there??

I guess they get shipments on Tuesdays, hence the name.

It was okay. A little in disarray.

It kind of reminded me of an expensive dollar store.

They had these LEOPARD headphones

that I do NOT need nor want, just in case

anyone was getting some ideas….

Chester did get this dog toy Frisbee. $3.

It may actually last – he doesn’t usually kill his

flying disc toys.

Next I went to Olive Oil Etcetera in Doylestown.

I had a coupon…..I love the living social discounts.

We use a lot of olive oil & balsalmic vinegar so

1/2 price is always good.

I ended up getting this delectable truffle oil.

I adore this stuff. mmmmmmm.

Onto the WILD GOOSE CHASE, literally.

The Pink Footed Goose was spotted this morning

& they thought it might come back this afternoon.

Cars of bird watchers lined the streets.

It’s a lifetime opportunity to see this bird in the flesh.

FIRST, one must get past the vicious German Sheppard

that drives a ford explorer.

Sounds like he needs some dog training!

quite nice scenery though, a little chilly today

in the distance The National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa.

Our parents used to bring us here all the time

when we were kids. It’s a Polish Church,

my mom was Polish.

Also saw this man & his three dogs.

Love the one carrying the stick!

Tuesday 11-29-11 Wine/Food pairing, pink footed goose, enchiladas

Tuesday 11-29-11

stopped by to see my friend & financial advisor Jesse.

We were going over some details for next week’s

wine & food pairing presentation.

as I mentioned yesterday – there is an uncommon goose

on the loose – the pink footed goose they are from

Greenland, Iceland and Norway then winter in Great Britain and Denmark.

I was on a Wild Goose Chase today & wasn’t able to find him –

It was pretty much a muddy swamp where he was sighted

but I got better information today as to where he may be

so maybe I will try again tomorrow?

this is pretty much all I got out of the chase!

muddy shoes & pants. cold feet.

It was a pretty wet day today – tomorrow might be the same?

Monday 11.28.11 FREE computer, work, Chester

Monday 11.28.11

FREE COMPUTER!!! who needs one??

I got a new one, the old computer works but

has tendencies to be slow. The neediest person gets it!

WORK….. I’m putting the finishing touches on

my Holiday wine/food presentation that

I am doing next week.

It starts as a cut then he licks it.

It’s yucky & very sore.

Pink Footed Goose today — they are quite

uncommon for this area.

The birds breed in Greenland, Iceland and Norway

and it’s not usual to see them on Pennsylvania.

11/27/11 Christmas decorations, wine

11/27/11

Chester & Weasel inspecting Michael’s work.

He decorated the Ivyland Village Christmas tree

with the help of neighbor Dennis.

I wanted to get pictures of the guys hanging the lights

but they were too quick for me!

This neighbor did a nice job decorating too.

BUT they had them lit BEFORE Christmas.
I really should be Christmas Light Police…..

Michael got all our lights & decorations up too.

He does a nice job.
