i had a dentist appointment today –

I’ve been going to Dr Reuter for YEARS –

even though I am sure there are closer dentists

that I could go to……

I was due for some x-rays.

Got a PERFECT check-up. YAY!

read the New Yorker today.

there were LOTS of interesting articles this week.

It took a couple days to read it!

The Tour of Rwanda was VERY fascinating. Cycling story.

i usually bring lunch but today i got take-out.

i went to an old favorite of ours when we worked

at the stock exchange – Tampopo – Japanese cuisine.

This is SPICY BEEF BOWL.

manicure after work –

it is always a challenge to choose a color.

I just let Wendy (the manicurist) pick it for me.

I ended up with “Smooth Sailing” —

which would be WHICH color….????

My boss HARRY told me he knew my friend

Maria who I play volleyball with.

He sent me this picture from the swim meet

they were at – both their children swim.

I said – you DRINK at swim meets??

apparently, YES, they do!

stopped over our neighbor Todd’s tonight for a

little Pow-wow. They have tons ‘o kids on his

block. I guess we have the “adult” block

with some kids but not the plethora that

Todd has!

my friend Shannon posted on Facebook a dog with a

banana peel on it’s head – thought I would try it!

Kundalini Yoga –

our friend Joyce’s sister-in-law teaches &

she’s been coming over to Joyce’s house to

give private lessons.

It is WAY different than the YOGA I am used to!

It was SUPER HOT in the city today.

Someone gave this pigeon a drink & a few snacks –

fish crackers!

YAY – i got a new camera —

it is waterproof & shock resistant.

Who wants to come over & read the manual

& teach me how to use it???

HELP!!

I read NEWSWEEK today –

there was an article about Princess Diana

because she was turning 50 this year

it was actually kind of creepy –

they had a sample of what they thought her

Facebook page would look like.

I think we like to complicate things

when it is really quite simple;

find what it is that makes you happy

and who it is that makes you happy

and you’re set.

Sunday July 10th biking washington crossing to Frenchtown

Sunday July 10th

Yesterday was our HILLY ride (37 miles).

Today was our flat ride (47 miles).

We are getting ready for our Maine trip where we will

bike about 40 miles/day for the week.

LUCKY US!!! gorgeous views while biking!!

these are the BEST donuts in the entire WORLD.

We don’t eat many donuts but when you bike 50 miles

you feel entitled……….

We had a little picnic in the park after our bike ride.

7/9/11 back to phoenixville for bench retrieval

7/9/11

After I bought the fabulous hand carved bench last night –

we needed a retrieval plan. After biking we headed back to Phoenixville to get it.

We brought friends & met up with friend CATE who lives nearby.

FIRST we stopped at the Sly Fox brew pub & restaurant

i had the sampler – their beers are ok.

Definitely have had better (and worse too!)

friend Cate & sister Pat.

Pat went to high school with Cate –

the same one I went to –

St Basil Academy.

we stopped at a bike shop in Phoenixville.

Mary was checking out their Tire Tube ball!

a variation of the rubber band ball….

THE BLOBfest was still a big attraction.

there were all kinds of festivities happening.

Saturday 7/9/11 Biking

Saturday 7/9/11

I was scheduled to play volleyball but my partner cancelled.

I thought about laying on the couch & doing nothing but that

is really NOT my style……

I think I missed the RELAX GENE when God was handing them out!

We got together with some friends & did

a decent ride 37 miles….hilly.

Was challenging for the girls –

the guys said it was “easy”…..

this restroom name never ceases to amuse us –

it is located in the Washington Crossing Park.

We still don’t know what it means…..

Friday July 8th 2011 Concert in Phoenixville, Pa

My friend Joyce is friends with KEVIN who plays Bass in a Jazz band.

We ventured to Phoenixville, Pa to watch them play.

It’s about an hour from Ivyland.
