Monday 7/18/11

i opened a bottle of wine last night that I wasn’t

crazy about & the best thing to do with that is:

Make Sangria!!!

I had a couple glasses tonight & it IS tasty.

Maybe a little TOO TASTY?

I was at my old gym tonight for YOGA & ran into

my former personal trainer STEVE.

He trained me for climbing Mt Kilimanjaro.

JUDY – our yoga instructor!

I NEEDED this class after yesterday’s race.

Lots & lots of stretching is always good.

and so is seeing Judy!!!!

It sounded quite interesting.

After yesterday’s race & no injuries —

when I was walking into my back yard I got stung by a bee.

I WAS FINE — until today – -then my hand puffed up!

I guess as long as i keep breathing I should be ok.

7/16/11 dinner at Rick’s with Danny & Vicky

Tonight we ventured to Lambertville, NJ to have dinner

at Rick’s with Danny & his new girlfriend Vicky.

RICK’s is about 30 minutes from Ivyland

the outside patio. It was a great night to eat outside.

I usually ALWAYS order Portabella Parmesan.

Saturday 7/16/11 dog school, date with MB & race packet pick up

I have a 10K obstacle course race on Sunday.

Didn’t want to get to crazy with activity today.

Instead of a long bike ride I took Chester to dog school

& did a short ride afterwards. Then went into town

with neighbor Marybeth to get our race packets.

into town to get our race packets.

We stopped in China town for lunch first!

We went PENANG – a restaurant I’ve been wanting to try

for a very long time….

7/15/11 Taormina’s for dinner

7/15/11

Got home LATE from work, AGAIN!

Was tired, hungry & thirsty – not necessarily in that order.

After watching some cute guy win on Jeopardy & a recorded

LOUIE C.K. (funny show), Michael & I ventured

over to Taormina’s for dinner. They are not SUPER busy

in the summer so we got seated right away.

A bottle of white. A bottle of red.

I didn’t know what I wanted –

white or red – so I brought one of each.

we started with CAJUN CALAMARI –

which is very scrumptious.

Joey Taormina – our server tonight.

He’s cute.

Michael made up his own dish —

lasagna topped with sauteed spinach

I had tonight’s special-

Baby arugula salad with red onions & tomatoes

in a lemon olive oil dressing with

shrimp & tuna Carpaccio —

i added side of scallops.

another special tonight was

Shrimp risotto in a basil pomodoro sauce with

a side of grilled scallops

pan seared swordfish with crabmeat

in a scampi sauce

just checking to see what Picassa bitch cat would tolerate.

i had a flat tire & couldn’t go biking because

my mechanic was out on his own bike ride.

I took the dogs for a long walk.

This is the FIRE DAM PARK over in the

old part of Ivyland.

not a lot going on at the DAM PARK but

it was some new & different smells for the dogs

& they LOVE going for walks so it was

fun for all 🙂
