Sunday May 29th BBQ @ neighbor’s

Sunday May 29th
Adam & Vanessa had their LAST MEMORIAL DAY BBQ
at their Ivyland house as they will be moving to Lambertville, NJ
– not too far from us! Next year we can come to their FIRST BBQ
at their new house….. but I don’t suspect we’ll be walking home…..

May 29th 2011 making food for the BBQ

May 29th 2011

Since I can’t bike or play volleyball I’ve been putting
my cooking skills to work. I like to cook but just don’t ever
have enough TIME!!! now I do…….yay!

here it is all grilled up!
you brush it with olive oil & sprinkle with
Chipolte powder then after grilling
finish with salt

I WOULD make it again!
I also made home-made tortilla chips.

roasted pepper baguette bites

also brought the ingredients to make
Strawberry Caipirinhas!!!

Saturday 5/28/11 Brother Raymond Birthday Dinner

Raymond’s Birthday was earlier this month so I wasn’t sure
if the Birthday dinner was for the Birthday that just passed
OR if it was a surprise for next year’s Birthday.

Friday May 27th 2011 work, Taormina’s, MONGO, Loving Frank book

Had to work LATE today on a Friday of a Holiday Weekend –
someone has to do it!!
I really didn’t mind because now I know everything was done right.
but it would be nice to be treated fairly & compensated appropriately.

Guess we’ll watch the progress….

to TAORMINA’s tonight. Since they are moving SOON –
we thought we better say YES since it might be our
last chance to go to Taormina’s with them on a Friday Night.

finally – after months of reading this book –
i finally finished….. it’s not that it wasn’t good –
i quite liked it – it’s just that i generally read
a magazine a day & run out of “book reading time”.

5/26/11 present for the girls, get well card, brother Raymond, field trip

Maulana & Kate – the building management girls –
we used to have an office next to them & we shared
the ladies room. I always would buy lotion for the
bathroom so I got them their own when they move
to a new floor!

I delivered hand picked strawberries to my friend Joslyn.
They were the ones I got at the farm the other day.
I hope they were still ok & as delicious as mine.

I’m looking forward to getting back to exercising –
but not prematurely! I want to heal properly.
the goal is June 4th Volleyball tournament.

5/25/11 Wednesday not walleyball this week, Frog & Landscaper

5/25/11
We usually play Walleyball on Wednesdays but since “someone” has
broken ribs we are unable to participate in tonight’s playoffs.
This means no free Pizza tonight & no winning t-shirts 😦
& no beating the teams we love to beat.
I can’t imagine it being the same without us.
WE haven’t missed playoffs in a dozen years (or more!).
But what it DOES mean – I am resting my body & hoping to
recover sooner than later!
