for the office workers in the building. As you can see –

it was quit popular with the tenants. This was when

it was NOT crowded.

We have a friend who LOVES PEEPS.

I made chocolate covered Snowman “Peeps” for him.

I think he’s going to be happy with his surprise

from

Santa in the North Pole.

I had extra chocolate so I made chocolate

covered dried cherries.They don’t look GREAT-

but…….mmmmm they ARE!

THESE were TASTY TOO. I liked dipping the pretzel

pieces best vs the whole pretzel cuz then you can

just pop the whole thing in your mouth.

ALSO – made chocolate covered bananas but forgot to get photo.

and now they are GONE. but you can get the MENTAL PICTURE.

How do they look? Delicious right?

I got a SURPRSIE GIFT in the mail from our

friend JACKIE – it’s a lovely re-usable bag.

I ADORE IT!!

I need 11 more to make an even dozen.

December 17, 2010 Tuesday 12/14/10 Holiday Wine Tasting Event @ Carrabba’s Feel free to share with FRIENDS: here is my website — http://helentdiehl.posterous.com/ —————————————————————————————————————————– Tuesday 12/14/10 This was our monthly wine tasting held at Carrabba’s in Willow Grove, PA. It’s about 15ish minutes from Ivyland. Janis sends out the monthly reminder to come drink wine. Friend TOMMY – he’s a regular! First up was this Chardonnay. 2008 Joel Gott – It was nice. Crisp & full bodied – I’d recommend it – Should be able to find it in your local stores. wine was paired with DELICIOUS SHRIMP SCAMPI next we paired a MERLOT with Involtini with Broccoli – Chicken breast stuffed with cheese, spinach, sausage – grilled to perfection…..mmmmm our friend AL didn’t like it all as you can see…… I thought I could get him licking the plate – no such luck this time! 2006 Peju Cabernet was our next tasting. It’s a Napa Valley – rich, dark colored wine – …velvety finish.. the wine was “tight” & needed to breathe – so wine rep Erika decanted it before serving Cab was paired with a Lamb Chop – Al’s wife Eileen got mine… I’m not a lamb chop gal – but i heard it was VERY TASTY PORT was our last tasting. it has aromas of raisined berry fruit, chocolate, caramel & orange peel. Good enough to drink by itself. Compliments dessert nicely mmmm DESSERT …… Cheesecake served with salted cashews, caramel & Chocolate. What’s NOT to like?? Me with friends John & LouAnn our Wine Rep ERIKA & her fiancee’ Michael my friend showing me his list of DRUGS…. HOLY COW — if I had to take all those I’d carry a list too!!! The girls in the Red Sweater – I guess we all got the Red Sweater Memo for the Holiday Tasting…. New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency Me & my friend Bobby. Bob is a Senior Bond Analyst with NJHMFA. As you know we’ve recently added a fixed income division to my company Drexel Hamilton. Our hope it to do eventually do some business with Bob & the state of NJ. Certainly you know of someone who has FIXED INCOME needs? If so – Let me know, PLEASE!!! We do a GREAT JOB & we have a GREAT STORY! We had a little car trouble on our way home. Despite our adversity Cal doesn’t look too upset! Every adversity has a benefit!!! Our Charlie Brown Christmas Tree. it is simply ADORABLE. love it! danny diehl won this helmet last night. WILLIE — happy at home 🙂 Leave a Comment December 12, 2010 12/12/10 huevos rancheros, Santa, shopping… 12/12/10 Totally been in the mood for Huevos Rancheros but the place I like to get it is about 30 minutes away. I had a busy day ahead running errands so I decided to make my a Helen version with what I had on hand. first I made refried beans – chunky version – doctored up with onions, American cheese & pepperoncini and some “secret spices”. i made some over easy eggs – placed them over the bean concoction topped that with salsa & a dollop of sour cream. This dish was DELICIOUS. I said to sister Pat I’m going to open a restaurant & serve breakfast (Huevos Rancheros) & dinner (vegetable fried rice) & maybe one of my other specialities. The restaurant will be named: “A Few Things”. I better go register that website name…. Santa came to visit the neighborhood. That’s Santa & neighbor Sophie. Santa’s helpers – Evan & Jeff – Ivyland firefighters! sister Pat & I went to FRESH MARKET because i heard they had DEER TOPIARIES. This was of them & they are really CUTE – but too pricey for me! ($39) Deer Topiary. wonder why they are so (dear) pricey? I love how the Fresh Market has a Cranberry Bog in their produce department! anyone ever EAT a Buddha Hand?? I’m curious. (There was dessert & more partying back at the house.)
