Friday 8/6/10 First Class, Ray, Taormina’s, Chris & Mel

Friday 8/6/10

The other day there was a discussion about

“First Class” on the Regional Rail (vs “regular/coach” seating).

I ALWAYS sit in “first class” if it is available.

In reality – there is NO first class – I just “made it up”…

you’ll see what I mean in the pictures below.

That’s what I call FIRST CLASS.

You get your own little section &

you can lean back & put your feet up.

Here’s another angle of my cozy cove aka 1st class.

and this is a photo of the “common seating area”.

sometimes, if the train gets crowded – you have to

squish 3 people in one seat & it’s not too comfy –

particularly for the monkey in the middle.

In “first class” you NEVER have that issue.

we are on a conference call here.

Ray kind of looks like my brother Raymond!

we went over to Taormina’s kind of late for dinner so we

could chat with the owners. They get really busy earlier in the night.

That’s what happens when you have good food!

it was Graceann’s (owners daughter) birthday so

we gave her a little present

BUCKYBALLS!! We often bring our balls to dinner

& play with them. (that so does not sound right)

Graceann always liked our toys

so we got her her own set of balls….

you can make all kinds of fun things with them.

really, they’re kind of addicting. Once you start

playing with them you can’t put them down.

Cajun calamari (Michael always special orders this)

Tonight’s Special:

Pan Seared Salmon in a red pepper sauce

served with grilled zucchini and carrots

I love being a connector!! It’s fun how people know

each other from my Picture of the Day!!!

well Pat posted them on Ebay with a few other items

she found in school & made a killing!!!

sister PAT knows I am having “job issues” so she

donated her profits to me!!!!!!! She’s GREAT 🙂

she did set aside money to give to Joyce but

she declined it so it will go to her favorite charity instead.

Been in the mood for Dairy Queen & finally got around to going!

The DQ near us is next to a mini golf course/driving range.

It was pretty busy but the line moved quickly.

i got the kiddie cone vanilla/chocolate twist

with chocolate jimmies. that’s what we call them.

What’s with VANDALSM anyway??

Saw this on the way into work…..

and for all those who responded yesterday (and there were MANY)

you all know what is RIGHT with this picture……

I did “report” this truck & they will tell him GOOD JOB!

so many times people are reprimanded & not praised –

i like to be the positive person….

sister Pat made the “hoagie salad” for dinner –

it’s pretty tasty. I like it b/c you don’t have all the bread.

For those not familiar with the “Philadelphia hoagie” – this is what it is:

A hoagie is an cold cut and cheese sandwich with any combination of

lettuce, tomato & onion and it is served on a long roll.

some people dress it with oil, sometimes a little vinegar or maybe just mayo.

Monday 8/2/10 Yoga, bluebirds!, dogs

Monday 8/2/10

I was scheduled OFF work today – my new “deal” with the company

starts tomorrow. The good news is my co-worker called and said

we got a 200,000 share order today & when you work on straight commission

THAT is a good thing…… Orders = GOOD!

Started the day with YOGA class – THAT is always

a GREAT START to the day…..

one of my “chores”

(among MANY today) was to

cut my bagels in half & half again & freeze them.

In the mornings I just microwave for 30 secs,

toast one up & GO.

Sunday August 1st 2010 Bagel Junction, Tucker the Parrot

We were scheduled to go biking today but the forecast said RAIN

where we were supposed to be biking – so we bagged it & went to

breakfast @ Bagel Junction instead…. can’t bike, EAT instead.

Plus, honestly, we were both pretty beat between the Race yesterday

& then the Party after that…..we needed a little R & R.

There’s Michael noshing on a Bagel.

The store has good bagels but the service is generally POOR.

We had a new girl today & she was pretty good – so

we were happy.

our friends Joyce & Mary showed up with a treasure chest (brown box)

of “LOOT” they found on their walk in their neighborhood that morning.

We volunteered to guard it while they went inside.

of course I tried to put EVERYTHING on while they were inside…

When a neighbor loses a pet we go into a neighborhood

“Amber Alert”. Tonight we were all looking for

TUCKER – an Amazon Parrot.

There’s TUCKER up on the 2nd floor roof of a neighbor’s house

at the end of the alley.

we were able to scare TUCKER into flying off the roof.
