Thursday Night Club Bike Ride

~ we started with a small group.

Jim, Rob, Helen & Deb.

We rode 25 miles tonight.

it was challenging.

then we came upon our other “regular riders” —

Mary had a flat tire – we stopped to help.

then we were NINE……(riders)

Joanne & Michael on scenic Creek road.

They are moving & so am I- hence the blur…..

sister Pat made us a yummy vegetarian dinner tonight……

We had this tasty

tomato & Mozzarella salad

made with fresh picked Basil from Pat’s friends garden

Corn fresh OFF the Cob

(with bacon bits…guess not quite vegetarian!)

green beans with caramelized onions

6 day old baby bluebirds —

i ran out in the rain to feed the parents….

I knew the babies had to be HUNGRY

this egg obviously has not hatched & it won’t hatch.

I removed it to give the birds more room as they grow.

Tuesday 6/8/10 train, target &……..baby birds….

my Train Station: R2 Warminster – 1 mile from my house.

oh boy – back to work….. wish i was a little more excited.

Maybe if Picture of the Day were my job I’d get inspired…..

exciting after work activity — I went to TARGET!

I usually attend the monthly wine tasting but I’m

taking a little break from that for now.

i tried getting a picture of my “allergy eyes” in the

magnifying make-up mirrors. They don’t look as

bad as they ARE……

if i needed a hairdryer THIS is the one i would buy!

Not b/c of it’s superpowers but strictly b/c of it’s cool leopard design.

My friend emt NICK works with an emt (PAUL) and Paul has recently been

diagnosed with a fast growing cancer. Nick ( & Paul’s) Squad (First Alarmers) are

raising money to help Paul & his family. As Nick put it:

“looking for help from all directions to try to help/save a man

who does the same for total strangers everyday”

I guess when he puts it like that, how can one NOT HELP?

Today was our last day of vacation. I wanted to relax, sit & read the paper

(yesterday’s NY Times…..) didn’t happen, of course…..

We took a short bike ride among many other things…..

I travel with my own bike mechanic – works out well for me!

We started at the Wycombe Train station

(maybe 10 minutes from Ivyland) so I wouldn’t

have to do any real hill climbing. My legs were still a little

sore from playing volleyball on Saturday.

we met SEAMUS in New Hope,PA – about 8 miles into the ride

I just LOVED this vanity plate.

I ordered a special license plate – let’s hope I get it.

I’ll let you WONDER what I got…..

HA – Bridge Closed — didn’t stop US!

I forgot to get the standard “photo with bike” –

so we got this one instead….

We rode 17.5 miles today – a mild ride – in comparison

to what we normally do…..

The event was being held at my friends Lis & Mike’s house in Devault, PA –

that’s about an hour from Ivyland. They have a cool outdoor sculpture garden —
