(well, actually stood) and watched the market plunge
almost 1000 points in a very SHORT time….
The usual suspects caused this breakdown from Greece to Goldman.
I am hearing that a large brokerage firm had a clerical error
causing prints to skew way out of line…..another interesting day on Wall Street.
(btw, THAT was my FIRST inkling….a clerks error…)

report on the huge drop…..

I only rode 15 miles – i think they ended up riding 20ish.
The guys must think each other has cooties…..

This Saturday – MAY 8th, 2010 – the largest single day food drive will take place.
It is called Stamp Out Hunger; the annual food drive by the National Association of Letter Carriers. Your local letter carrier will be accepting donations. All you need to do is leave a sturdy bag of non-perishables out by your mailbox on Saturday and your letter carrier will do the rest. They will deliver those goods to food banks and hunger relief organizations around the country.

We have this museum – literally ACROSS the street from our house –
where astronauts trained – kind of cool.

Me & Denise with ONE of the Buffalo Statues –
(in addition to Pioneers, Geese, dogs, horses, cows….)
there is a whole menagerie of statues & story
that goes with it – but too long to tell now.

Spirit of Nebraska’s Wilderness and Pioneer Courage Park
The Park of bronze sculptures begins with a wagon train heading west,
causing a heard of bison to stampede. The bison emerge onto Dodge Street
where they flush a flock of Canada geese. The geese take flight and conclude
with their flying into the First National Tower. Together, Pioneer Courage and Spirit of Nebraska’s Wilderness parks consist of more than 100 individual bronze pieces integrated within an urban environment that covers more than six city blocks.
