LIVE LIFE!

today I mixed up my work out & did a SPIN class.

It was hot & sweaty in a good way & burned lots

of calories too!

friend Joyce using the bird book I gave her!

this was how I spent my day – STUDYING.

Many don’t understand the complexity of this class.

They say “oh, wine school, how hard can that be?”

this is what a need to know for my exam.

I need to be able to explain the wines,

styles, grapes, climate, weather, price,

for each of these regions:

France: Bordeaux, Burgundy, Loire, Alsace,

Rhone, SW France, Languedoc

Germany, Austria, Hungary

ITALY – all regions

Spain, Portugal

USA & Canada

Chile, Argentina

S. Africa, Australia & New Zealand

Sparkling Wines

Fortified Wines

Spirits

Easy, right?

12/07/12 Kitchen Table with biking friends :)

I’m the Pretzel Fairy at work – my co-workers love me

Gas has been going down – anyone know why?

It actually went down to $3.21 on my way home.

bought this for Michael as a Christmas present.

Anyone need some? I might be able to get more.

We got together with biking friends tonight.

We were way overdue for a visit

& needed to catch up!

Met for dinner at the Kitchen Table in Warrington.

I went with their famous Fried Chicken platter.

I very rarely eat fried chicken but this is one of

their specialties & a good choice!

the big decision was what wine to pair with the chicken.

This Chardonnay worked perfectly.

btw – this Chard is FANTASTIC.

pick some up if you see it!

Enormously ripe and rich-this is honeyed, with citrus and tropical fruit flavors.

It’s creamy, too, with a butterscotch accent. The magic comes on the finish with a swirl of acidity and dry mineral. Decadent but never cloying.

Thursday 12/6/12 Chester & Weasel, gym habit, school in the city

Thursday 12/6/12

We used to give the dogs free choice of food.

They are not “Labrador like” & will NOT gobble

down every morsel put in front of them.

Now that Chester has become a “problem dog”

he has to be on a regular feeding schedule.

the gym. As you know, I go.

The gym is a habit for me.

There’s never a thought process

whether I’m going or not.

I just get up & GO!

I guess that would be a GOOD HABIT?

I’ve been studying HARD.

Made up all these flashcards & have lots more to do.

I need some confidence NOW!

With all the studying I had done I felt

pretty good about the exam.

Then with the review it reminded me of

all that I don’t know…..

One good thing about school in the city

is I can take the train & catch up on some reading!

12/5/12 gym, present, studying, MADDIE, Buffalo Wegmans, "dessert"

I usually go to Boot Camp which is way harder

than Body Conditioning but I got a late start

(with the dogs feeding schedule & didn’t feel like rushing).

I don’t know what happens when I get a “real” job!

I guess I’ll have to maneuver a new gym schedule?

Got a present in the mail today –

a couple boxes of Fine Point Purple Pens.

Clearly, Christmas has come early!

Doesn’t take much to please me!

so here I sat all day.

Studying & Studying some more.

The more I study the more confidence I build.

After Tuesday I get my life back.

“Dessert” for studying so hard!

Millennium Hotel is where Michael is staying

while he is off on his job adventure in

Buffalo, NY working for Time Warner Cable.

It’s about a 6 hour drive so commuting

wouldn’t really make sense, would it?

If he likes the job he will work in

Binghamton, NY – only about 2.5-3 hrs away.

It looks pretty nice!

Wonder if he took his swim trunks?

when we worked at the stock exchange.

Tampopo is a Korean restaurant

& offers lots of tasty dishes!

Hot Spicy Beef Bowl.

They give you a lot so it’s good for two meals.

btw – if you “byob” – bring your own bowl –

you save 50 cents!

Monday 12/3/12 Veterinarian visit, new car for Michael?, volleyball, MURPHY

All Chester wants to do when we get there is LEAVE!

he was very cooperative.

Chester will be on a low fat diet for the rest of his life.

He is prone to pancreas attacks which is NOT good.

he is going to rent & drive to Buffalo, NY.

Michael has a job prospect in the NY area.

We figured it would be cheaper

with gas expenditure & mileage to rent a car.

If Michael likes the job & takes it he will be working

in Binghamton, NY & he will need a work truck.

He found this one – it’s cute & a nice color –

the most important criteria for buying a car, right?

Our mechanic is going to check it our for us

& also has some truck ideas for us as well.

the gym is generally VERY busy on the weekends.

I guess everyone wants to get their work out

done & over with before starting the day?

I made us a particularly yummy breakfast.

Over easy egg on top a bed of spinach sprinkled

with Chorizo & truffled cheese.

Oh So Good!

SANDY the kitty was getting a new home today.

Friend Jeff was coming over to get him.

Neighbors Rick & Chris found him in ragged condition

last month & nursed him back to health.

He is such a good Kitty!!
