If I can, I go to BOOT CAMP on Wednesdays.

It’s quite a challenging class, in fact I found myself

asking “WHY am I here?? This is SO HARD.”

Class starts at 830 but people stroll in at 8:35.

I don’t know why people ALWAYS come late.

A few theories have been proposed, what do you think?

I interview here today for a Wine Manager position.

Basically, I would be developing & maintaing customer relationships.

WHO can do this better than I??

It was like the job was created for me.

So, YES, I am super excited about the opportunity.

During the interview when David (my interviewer)

was explaining the position my mind is going

a mile a minute figuring out how to

excel at this job that I haven’t even gotten,

YET!

How TRUE is this???

Thankfully the last few job offers weren’t right

so I could be available for this opportunity.

SURPRISE!!! I have a friend JES who recently

moved up near where my interview was

(about 2 hours away).

I surprise visited her — this is her picture

through the screendoor when she answered the

door bell. SURPRISE!!!!!

as you know I like spotting unusual license plates.

Not sure what PY TONGA stands for but the

TONGA part caught my eye since that is where

my 2 sisters & 1 brother are from —

did you know about them???

it is for a BIG DOG – but small ones would

fit into it as well…..

wrapping up Wednesday night Volleyball.

Now it’s time to go watch the

OLYMPIC beach volleyball finals –

who will get the gold???? I have an idea.

with his bike oblivious that anyone was on the path.

I wish I could have seen him read the flyer.

8/6/12 new critter in the log, sister Pat’s last lunch, Black Bear bike ride

Remember my “hollow log project”

(filling it with critters!)?

today I added a LEOPARD to the hollow log.

the lizard was still there!!!

our cousin Rose Mary invited sister Pat & me

before Pat leaves on her 3 MONTH “vacation”…..

(in Sunday’s PotD I inadvertently said

Pat’s “vacation” was only 3 WEEKS)

We started with the eggplant flatbread.

Quite good. Could have eaten the whole

thing by myself…..

I got a tuna/avocado roll

& a tomato/mozzarella salad.

I want to try & re-create the mozzarella recipe.

Lightly breaded with panko & panfried.

We went for a late lunch/early dinner @ Taormina’s.

We were thinking this could be our last meal

before sister PAT leaves on her 3 MONTH “vacation”…..

Saturday 8/4/12 Beach Volleyball (winner winner chicken dinner)

Michael & Tom before heading out for a 75 mile bike ride

to the seashore to see me play volleyball.

Tom was supposed to work but plans changed so he

could make the journey!

beach tournaments are NOT beauty contests……

my new house Michael gave me – it fits a small family!

He & Tom made it to the beach uneventfully!

No rain, storms, lightening, thunder or

barns to hole up in while the storm passed.

I have lots of points but needed to use up some – so I got these

sunglasses. After looking at this picture I think they are a little

big for my face but they are pretty cool & are POLARIZED –

so I’ll wear them. Maybe they’ll be my lucky sunglasses?

WHOLE time during playoffs & watching me WIN.

It was a late day & we were HUNGRY!!!!

Afterwards we went to RAJIN CAJUN —

It’s byob – that’s a bonus!

I got dessert which I NEVER do.

I don’t know what possessed me???

This paired nicely with the Rose’

I brought with us.

Then a SLUG decided to enjoy my Rose’ too.

Slugs are so disgusting.

I can’t believe I even have one my PotD!!!!!

Friday 8/3/12 morning run,"un job offer", Mayor Bob Birthday Party, truck 4 sale

Chester & I went for a morning run.

(didn’t feel like it but did it anyway)

We snuck up on Weasel when we got back

(Chester only runs 1 mile now because he limps).

Weasel cries & howls the whole time

we are gone!!!

on the next portion of my run I put a new critter

in the hollow log (over on Kirk Rd)

the bird was missing that I originally put there –

let’s see how long the lizard lasts….

Text message I got from the guy who

offered me the job yesterday…….

I can’t say I’ve ever been “un-offered” a job.

8/2/12 2nd interview/meeting, Federici’s, Bike & Brew

Can you see him???

Today I had a 2nd meeting (after numerous texts)

with Tri-Vin Imports.

We met at Starbucks bc the home office is HOURS

away & this is only an hourish away from Ivyland.

It works.

I was amazed at the amount of people who

use Starbucks as an office! (including us!).

So…… bottom line is:

I was offered a job which is the good part.

The cons are: the travel & the $$$.

My territory would be hours away &

I’m not so sure the compensation would

justify the time & effort. We’ll see.

Decisions, decisions.

Everything come to you in the right moment.

Be patient…….

since I was nearby Freehold, NJ I stopped for lunch

at Federici’s — a restaur ant brother Larry
