Juicy Tuesday 7/24/12 & Blue Sage Vegetarian Restaurant

Juicy Tuesday 7/24/12

friend Denise came over to try out my Champion juicer.

she brought veggies & a few recipes then we juiced!!

I let her take home the juicer to if she wants to get her own.

the first batch was a juice called SUNRISE something

(I think??)

All chopped & ready to juice!

We liked it!!

Next was this green concoction which we thought was ok

Kale, cucumber, green apple, celery

this one was really good – Watermelon & Lime

Here are the four juices we made.

Quite colorful!!!!

The tall skinny one was Vampire Blood.

Well…it was Vampire something —

I made up the blood part —

But really, LOOK at it!!!

eat these to boost your metabolism

Weasel went to the vet to have her stitches removed.

She does NOT have cancer which makes us all

VERY HAPPY!!!!

dogs are hairy little GODS!

tonight a few of us went to

BLUE SAGE Vegetarian Grille.

We were treating neighbor Deb for

her birthday that is this Friday.

This place is ALWAYS BUSY & you

MUST have a reservation whenever you go.

I brought one of my Rosé Wines.

Blackbird Vineyards Rosé

was VERY Tasty.

the goat cheese nachos were very tasty –

we could have stopped with these.

but we didn’t……

this is a new menu item –

I think it was called vegetable tartare.

definitely a re-order

Monday 7/23/12 Job interview down the shore

I had an interview today in Brigantine, NJ –

it’s a little north of Atlantic City.

This was quick photo of the AC Skyline.

I was trying to get a picture of the Wind Farm

because it was pretty cool looking.

You can’t see much in this photo –

the next one is better.

I did a little homework & discovered there was

this Jersey-Atlantic Wind Farm

my interview today was with BOARDWALK WINES.

They are a small company based out of Brigantine, NJ.

The interview went well but with any job

Sunday 7/22/12 NOT biking, Milford Oyster House

Sunday 7/22/12

We were suppose to do a 30 mile recovery bike ride today but didn’t… we had other stuff to do & we were pretty tired from volleyball/biking.

This is what I wanted to do but of course that

NEVER HAPPENED!

I needed to get manicured up for my job interview

on Monday. The beach is brutal on your nails.

Friend Judith told me about HAPPY NAILS

– they are open on Sundays!!!!

They did a nice job – I’ll go back.

I’m not messing around this time —

I made a big batch of my special super duper

Jalapeno/Strawberry concoction.

we had some ripe bananas that needed to be eaten,

(made into bread or frozen).

I cut them lengthwise & slather them with yummy stuffings

–Biscoff Spread, Dark Chocolate with Peanut butter

& Skippy Super Chunky. Then I FREEZE THEM!

I don’t know why I didn’t use Nutella.

A lady in my store came in the other day with this handbag.

I LOVED it & even asked to see the inside which has a

bunch of pockets. I NEEDED one. I was in the

market for a new one & this is the one I got!!

We were headed to Milford, NJ for dinner.

I was loving the VIEW – I wanted to share!!!

We live in such a great location.

I got these new Bosch windshield wipers –

I never really noticed Windshield Wipers before

but these are really cute!!! & work great.

I was in the mood for seafood so we came here.

It’s a bit of a hike (1 hour) but we were taking it easy today

& made the drive with the top down. It was nice.

We had 2 different kinds & there was definitely

a difference between the two.

Saturday July 21st 2012 Volleyball in Point Pleasant (Victors!)

Today was a perfect beach day for volleyball.

A little overcast, a tad cool & a bit breezy.

this is SUZY who was NOT my partner today….

but sometimes she is!

Margaret & I pulled out the win this time.

We played Suzy & Katelyn in the finals.

We were all pretty tired by the end….

1st & 2nd place —

tough competition today –

16 teams, 4 pools of 4 teams

VICTORY!!!!

we were prepared today!

Michael biked down with friends Judith & Michael.

only 75 miles this time – they took a short cut…

after vball we stopped for Mexican food

it was a BYOB & I brought a batch of my

super duper jalapeno/strawberry margaritas

scary looking glove outside the laundromat where

we had to wait for a table

these chips & salsa were the best —

as we all were pretty much STARVING!

Friday 7/20/12 Weasel. Carbo loading for next day Tournament

Weasel …..sleeping in

…… back to normal……

Weasel got to take a walk before I went to work.

It was raining so she got a little wet.

She LOVES to get toweled off.

dead bird….. last night’s storm got it…..

Got a new recipe out of a cool Italian Cooking magazine.

(Mary – I am saving it for YOU!)

I wanted to make pasta so we could carbo load for

Saturday’s activities.

I was playing volleyball in Pt Pleasant NJ

& Michael was biking down with friends.

I made Spaghetti with bell pepper puree & speck.

(Italian bacon)

It was pretty good but Michael did not like it.

Friends Judith & Michael came over to drop off

a change of clothes for after tomorrows ride to the beach.

They had dinner too & liked it!!!

We only rode 25 miles tonight – it got dark early.
