July 18th 2012 The Job Fair at Citizens Ball Park

July 18th 2012

friend Mary picked me up & we headed to

a job fair being held at the Ball Park.

She came across this Prayer Ring

to bring us LUCK.

(the prayer ring, of course, has a “story”)

We need all the help we can get.

Citizens Bank Ball Park –

Job Fair being held on the hottest day of the year!

who knew such a thing existed???

Mary has a job but is looking for a new one

as she would prefer not to relocate with her

current position.

Mary’s specialty is ACCOUNTING.

Are you, or anyone you know looking for

someone for that position?

Mary comes HIGHLY Recommended!!!

The job fair was quite crowded & everyone

was pretty much melting…. it was soooo HOT!

After the job fair we grabbed lunch at

the new Xfinity Sports Arena

ORIGLIO was one contact Mary & I were

both able to make a good connection with.

We could carpool if we both worked there!

TownSquare Media does digital sales for the websites

of 11 NJ Radio stations. This sounded interesting to me.

Aramark is known for their food services but they

need people to do marketing & sales —

that’s where I come in……

Boardwalk Wine Sales —

I have an interview here on MONDAY…

“down the shore” in Brigantine, NJ.

Anyone want to go for a ride & hit the beach after?

7/17/12 Airplanes, new ‘do, Jess last day

In the morning when we run we often see these guys

with their radio controlled airplanes

Chester airplane inspector

Stopped in to see Dominic the LEOPARD Mobile mechanic.

We LOVE Dominic. He is a great guy & HONEST mechanic.

If you need someone to service your cars he works on

Mercedes, Porsches, VW’s, Audi, Toyota & Lexus.

He comes HIGHLY recommended!

We made plans to go to Taormina’s for dinner.

I took this lovely Rose’ (which is really a red wine).

Jess Taormina’s last day is Wednesday

so we wanted to say good-bye in person.

She’s moving to Florida to teach.

Occasionally it’s hard to gather pictures

right to work early & work late

Sunday 7/15/12 Going Away Party – off to HAWAII

Our friend Marguerite is moving to Hawaii

so a few of us got together to have a little

going away party.

The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch

and swing with, never say a word, and then walk away

feeling like it was the best conversation you ever had.

7/15/12 Merrell Down & Dirty 10k Race

7/15/12

Today was the DAY Chester & I have been training for:

Merrell Down & Dirty 10k Obstacle Course Race

6 mile trail run with intermittent obstacles (17).

Fun City!!

Finished unscathed – injury free!

I finished first in our group — I have the secret –

ask me HOW!!!!

She was up ALL NIGHT (as we were)

whimpering, in pain we guessed??

Dislike seeing my pet sick 😦

We dropped off an old computer at a recycle center today.

So well organized!!

Not really sure the Fire Marshall should be

driving down the street with a DOG on his Lap!!

Michael needed to stop here & it really worked out

well for me in a couple ways.

One) they were able to order a CASE of my favorite

Polar Springs Sparkling Water flavor: Orange Vanilla.

Two) I met a guy there that works for a company

I am going to visit at a job fair next week & I got

some inside information!!!

The company is Origlio Beverage.

Have you heard of them or know anyone that

works there????

after 11 days apart I was FINALLY reunited

with the Leopard Mobile. YAY 🙂

We had lunch at the MOO Truck today.

Been wanting to try it for awhile…..

The food here is all Local, hormone free, blah blah.

I had the MOINK burger and on a scale

of 1 to 10 with 10 being the best —

it was a NINE!!!!

We also went to OwowCow Creamery.

I got Strawberry……mmmmmmm.

This Sunday (7/15) is National Ice Cream Day.

Why we need a special day to indulge in ice cream,

I don’t know, but what the heck, go for it.

Count the GOOD!!!

Friday the 13th July 2012 Weasel’s Day at the Veterinarian

Weasel went to the Veterinarian today.

We use Dr. Klingensmith at Valley Vet

She was going in for a teeth cleaning

That one tooth looks nasty!

The patient WEASEL recovering.

They ended up pulling FIVE of her teeth –

BRUTAL!

Plus they removed a tumor on her ear.

Michael & I had to return our loaner car in Doylestown

so we stopped at Mesquito Grille to grab a bite.

Poor Weasel was in a lot of pain.

Surgery/Anesthesia is tough on an old dog.

No one got any sleep.
