Thursday 6/28/12 morning run, Taorminas, wine

THURSDAY  6/28/12

Img_4354
Chester & I ran through the Industrial Park today.
We were looking for a fire that occurred the
other night but we couldn’t find it.
Img_4355
We did find this place: Seton Turf that I will
come back & check out their bird seed.
I never knew it was there!
I hope they have the good stuff.

Img_4356
also didn’t know this VFW hall was there.
It’s amazing what you find when you walk/run
instead of drive!
Img_4357
took this photo for neighbor Denise.
She brings her dog here when they go on vacation
or if she is going to be out all day.
She really likes it a lot.
Does your dog need TLC while you are away?

Img_4359
made some fresh squeezed OJ today.
nothing tastes better….mmmmm!
Img_4361
had dinner at Taormina’s tonight
with Danny, girlfriend Rachael & sister Pat.

Img_4361a
I got the pasta purses – always good –
they NEVER disappoint.
filled with fontina cheese & prosciutto
Img_4362
tried the Rose of Malbec I got yesterday.
Liked it A LOT. If you see this wine
don’t be afraid to buy it.
It’s a great wine for a hot summer day!
dry & crisp, NOT sweet.

like to eat at Taormina’s!
Img_4366
another Public Service announcement for those
of you are local. Wondering what to do with
that old computer that lives in your basement?

Wednesday 6/27/12 gym, INTERVIEW, wine, dorito taco,

Wednesday 6/27/12

Img_4300
YAY – our regular teacher was back for Boot Camp –
she’s brutal!!!  Kristin is up front in the blue –
getting the music ready
Img_4301
Had an interview HERE today at a Starbucks
in Bridgewater, NJ. It’s about an hour from Ivyland.

Img_4302
the company was Tri-Vin Imports –
a Wine distributor.
The meeting went well, I think.

Img_4303
Bryan Cole is who I met with –
he is on the left. I’ll keep you posted.
Img_4351
stopped at Central Liquors on my way home
from the interview. Met with Carl the wine buyer.
He’s keeping an eye out for jobs for me too.
Oh yeah – picked up a couple bottles of wine too.
Img_4352
self-explanatory….

Img_4354
I stopped at Taco Bell on the way home (starving!).
I got a Dorito Locos Taco.
I really like them & anyone I know who ate one
also likes them. Have you tried them??
The only people I know who don’t like them
are people that never ate one…….

Img_4357
friend Denise was asking me some
questions about the new bathroom paint job.
She was curious about that red tag
in the corner of the mirror.
Img_4358
a Safety Sticker – most likely Danny Diehl
put it up when he was sharing the
bathroom with sister Pat!

btw – Larry can paint your bathroom
(or any room) if you need him too.
Let me know!

Tuesday 6/26/12 gym, farm eggs, Michael gardening, CHESTER

Tuesday 6/26/12

Img_4333

Jesse – the guy in yellow up front left, was our substitute

teacher today for Body Conditioning class.

He was tough but not like Kristin our regular instructor.

Img_4336
I like how the farm fresh eggs say they
are from their CHICKENS —
although platypus eggs would be interesting.

.
Img_4339
they have really nice basil & tomato plants
for sale as well — ONLY $4.
I’m going back to get a Basil Plant —
look how nice they look!!!
Let me know if you want one too.
Img_4341

we have Baby Bluebirds!!!

Day ONE for these babies.

Img_4343
Michael gardening.
He’s examining the bush I sort of butchered
because I had no idea what I was doing.
Not sure if he noticed – he never said anything!
Img_4344
Michael gardening, Chester helping.
Img_4346
Chester doing one of his funny sitting postures.
He’s always entertaining!
Img_4348
a friend’s new puppy!!

Weasel needs her toes painted.
I need to get the fast drying stuff.

Monday 6/25/12 storm, Job Fair, flowers, choco bananas

Monday 6/25/12

Img_4331
Chester & I ran this a.m. & as soon as we got
home the skies turned grey & it got all stormy.
Img_4332
I attended a job fair today sponsored by the
 Washington Crossing United Methodist Church.
Img_4333
Up on the stage there was one-on-one
counseling with career & resume coaches.
The guy I met with said my resume was perfect.
He wouldn’t change a thing. YAY!
Img_4334
The event was SO WELL organized.
There were about 50 companies there
& LOTS of people looking for work.

Img_4335
I did make contact with one potential employer.
Anyone ever hear of ASI?
Do you know Jeannette Rhodunda??
She was the Employment Manager on hand.

The company sounds interesting.

Img_4342
When you were leaving they gave everyone
one of these books….
I mean – the job fair was at a CHURCH –
so I guess it makes sense.
They prayed for you too.
I hope it helps!
Img_4343
flowers from Michael….
just because!!!
Img_4345
I made these tasty chocolate covered banana pieces
with some ripe bananas. They came out pretty good!

Img_4346
IKEA interview – ahahaha!

P1050110
LOOK — Kevin threw the glow stick bracelet
on to Tanya’s party hat!! good job!!
(and how did I get that picture too?)
P1050113
break dancing – that was an 80’s thing, yes?
P1050124
Me with the birthday girl.

I opted to bike & exercise instead of
shop & spend money on an 80’s outfit.
I couldn’t do both……
hence why I am dressed “normal”

6/23/12 ~~ 53 mile bike ride!

6/23/12

Img_4305
It was a gorgeous day for a bike ride.
It was going to be HOT so we got an early start.
On the road by 8 a.m.!
Img_4307
We like to ride from the State Park Bull’s Island.
It’s a good 30 minute drive from our house
& is located in NJ.  I like starting & ending there
because they have nice bathrooms!
I always change out of my hot sweaty bike
garb after riding. That was one of my first
Lessons when training with a bike instructor.
“Get Changed!”

Img_4308

I don’t know who Katie is.
Img_4310
everyone getting ready to ride
P1050078
Jim
P1050079
on today’s ride: Jim, Helen, Mary & Tom
plus Michael the photographer.
Everyone else had excuses why they couldn’t ride.

We ended up riding 53 miles.
I was tempted to quit at 35 but didn’t.
good job Helen…..

P1050081
One of our favorite roads to ride on…..
(that’s Jim way up front)
P1050083
Creek Road (with flash this time)
P1050084
and old building on the side of the road.
the fogginess is either due to
GHOSTS or my camera being sweaty.
your choice.
P1050085
Lambertville Trading Company (26 miles).
Michael likes stopping here because
they have “good iced tea”.
Their pastries aren’t bad either.

P1050086
friends Tom & Mary ran into some neighbors
P1050087
Does exercising for 3 hours in one day
carry over for 3 days??

===============================
We all learn from one another every day.

You can learn to improve yourself, or to advance in a discipline.
You can also pass on your knowledge and influence to others.
See: great power, great responsibility.

Things that seem small at first will come along

and affect the remainder of our lives.
Is it due to fate, chance, or destiny?

Sometimes it’s hard to say for sure.

And does it really matter?
Either way, lives are changed,
and the next step is up to you.
