For the past few years we’ve been attending a
Local firehouse Fish Fry in Lambertville, NJ.
It’s about 30 minutes from Ivyland.

We saw one when we were in Maine last summer.

The Lancaster, PA Humane League has the exciting opportunity to participate in the upcoming ASPCA/Rachael Ray Challenge and the potential to win up to $100,000.00 in grant money for their organization through this competition. The first thing they need to do is get enough votes to qualify.

The voting period is from NOW to Monday, April 16th. You can vote once a day, each day throughout the voting period. This will get the league qualified to participate in the challenge. The website to vote is votetosavelives.org.

today’s April Foodie Photo-A-Day is Childhood Favorites.
This was a tough one b/c I can’t remember LOVING
any one food.  My mom did make us this one
kind of weird breakfast item —
she would cut up hotdogs, pan fry them then
scrambled them with eggs.

Foodie Photo-A-Day assignment.

I like grapefruits. I peel them like an orange
& savor the the juicy grapefruit segments.

sister Pat also made us creamed chipped beef
& hash browns for breakfast.
I wasn’t sure if Chipped Beef was a regional/local food
or if people ate it everywhere.

I don’t like Gin – this tasted pretty darn good.
