Monday May 2nd, 2011 Pierogi Making Class

Picture of the Day with your friends
using this link:

=======================================

Monday May 2nd, 2011

Tonight I took a class at the New Hope Solebury HS
(about 20ish minutes from Ivyland)
to learn how to make PIEROGIES.

Cimg2745
this was JULIA our awesome teacher
Cimg2746
Pierogies are fairly easy to make –
flour, milk, eggs & oil —
and whatever filling you want.
Cimg2749
the fillings we used tonight were the
traditional potato & sauerkraut.
We also made dessert ones that were yummy.
For those we used berries, almond paste & peaches.

Competitors will sprint a total of 600 meters while climbing, crawling, jumping,
swinging, and scaling their way through 30 challenging obstacles.

Here is the course:

you can always share Picture of the Day
with friends using this link:

**********************************************************

Friday 4/29/11
Lou Ann ( a friend from wine tastings) & I have talked for years about going to
OISHI a Japanese restaurant. Her friends Bill & Connie have a relationship with
the owners & chef so we had to go with them so we could get the
special treatment. Lou Ann brought other friends too & so did I.
There were ten of us enjoying a night out & making new friends.

MONGO by Port Brewing was one of our favorites.
Interesting story behind the name:

A tribute beer brewed to honor the memory of our fallen solider –

a brewery kitten we nicknamed Mongo – who used each of his 9 lives in a short –

but brazen – 10 months on this planet.

Santa’s Little Helper was quite tasty too.
