4/15/11 Friday Fish Fry in Lambertville, NJ

4/15/11

Last year we discovered a “Lenten fish fry” that has been

going on for years (29). We decided to go again this year as

we had a lot of fun last year…..

It is held at the Columbia Firehouse in Lambertville, NJ –

about 30 minutes from Ivyland.

In our car was driver Michael, friend Joyce,

sister Pat & Brother Larry –

I got to sit in the way back!

We were meeting friends Jesse & Molly there with their

FOUR children.

There is still time if you want to go!

the fish fry at the firehouse –

comes with a show (mini dress right)

every table comes with macaroni & cheese,

stewed tomatoes, cole slaw, rolls & butter.

You get choice of fish (fried or baked), shrimp, or combo.

Next year I in charge of bringing the ramekins for the

vinegar & ketchup.

You also get lemonade or iced tea.

It’s a fun time 🙂

4/14/11 building BIKING, Bourassa

Near TEMPLE UNIVERSITY they are demolishing a building.

It’s pretty cool to watch but I only get a glimpse each day.

My office is moving next FRIDAY – i hope to

be involved as little as possible……

Here my boss Harry is trashing stuff.

They know better than to let ME do that.

I throw out EVERYTHING. I’m “against” stuff.

totally NOT ready for the picture!!!

I saw an old man sitting at a train station with his old dog.

MY first thought was – I should get a picture of this….

they were waiting for someone

& the dog was LOOKING for that someone

FOUND her!!!

Happy dog – let’s go home now!

Cambria Chardonnay 2007 (LIKED!)

chardonnay was paired with Tilapia Wulfe with Orzo (YUM)

2nd course was Eggplant Parmesan –

tasty but on the salty side

(Michael would have LOVED it!)

-Paired with Sonoma Cutrer Pinot Noir 2007

Proscuitto wrapped pork tenderloin –

not something I usually eat – was VERY tasty.

wine: Beringer Alluvium Red 2007

Rigatoni Del Curato paired with

Penfolds Koonunga Hills Shiraz 2007

(nice & peppery as a shiraz should be)

we all took this home for lunch & it was good!

we had 80 degree weather today – it was lovely.

Wish I could have sat here all night –

but we were off to DOG SCHOOL!

my friend Kathy invited Danny & I to play some

volleyball triples this morning.

3 1/2 hours is a good work out!

the volleyball we did NOT use!

Impromptu get together @ City Kitchen with biking friends

breaking her pelvis on a bike trip in Connecticut.

She’s back in the saddle……….yay!

We got the “grand mom pizza” & “brooklyn pie” –

they were good but TAORMINA’s is way better.
