4/15/11 Friday Fish Fry in Lambertville, NJ

4/15/11
Last year we discovered a “Lenten fish fry” that has been
going on for years (29). We decided to go again this year as
we had a lot of fun last year…..
It is held at the Columbia Firehouse in Lambertville, NJ –
about 30 minutes from Ivyland.
Img_1537
In our car was driver Michael, friend Joyce,
sister Pat & Brother Larry –
I got to sit in the way back!

We were meeting friends Jesse & Molly there with their
FOUR children.

There is still time if you want to go!

every table comes with macaroni & cheese,
stewed tomatoes, cole slaw, rolls & butter.
You get choice of fish (fried or baked), shrimp, or combo.
Next year I in charge of bringing the ramekins for the
vinegar & ketchup.
You also getย lemonade or iced tea.

It’s a fun time ๐Ÿ™‚

We all have the drum major instinct.
We all want to be important, to surpass others,
to achieve distinction, to lead the parade….
And the great issue of life is
to harness the drum major instinct.
It is a good instinct if you don’t distort it and pervert it.

 Don’t give it up.
Keep feeling the need for being important.
Keep feeling the need for being first.
But I want you to be the first in love.
I want you to be the first in moral excellence.
I want you to be the first in generosity.
