Friday 4/8/11 Iron Abbey

Friday 4/8/11

Friday nights we usually go out to dinner.
Tonight I made a list of my suggestions.

Michael chose IRON ABBEY – which happened to

NOT be on my list…. but we both like it here.

They have a HUGE beer selection: drafts & bottles

& their food is good. the only “problem” with IRON ABBEY

is that it is perpetually BUSY!

IRON ABBEY in Horsham. Five miles from Ivyland.

We ran into our friend Scott who we RARELY see.

He works in the area but lives the opposite direction

about an hour from us.

Scott was with him. I’ve know Scott for 20 yrs now!

4/7/11 the Standard Tap for Work!

4/7/11

We used to go out A LOT for work but not too much anymore.

Tonight was a cocktail party held by StockCross Financial

held at the STANARD TAP in a part of Philadelphia

called Northern Liberties. It’s a section of town

that is “up & coming”.

My former co-worker Michael drove us to the event.

We used to always say we had lots of “SUBTERFUGE”

at work when we were on the floor

(of the Philadelphia Stock Exchange).

Hence Michael’s license plate.

Stopped at Reading Terminal on the way back to

the train – b/c that’s what you do when you

are nearby – it is a most excellent market!!

I ALWAYS pick up some vegetarian “chicken salad”

when I go there – it’s delicious!

Wore this shirt to work today hoping it would

subliminally soak into my co-workers brain.

He’s OFTEN in a tizzy, Kind of sad, actually.

American Robin spotted today in my

Backyard Bird Haven!!! All birds are welcome 🙂

4/5/11 Genuis Bar, pronghorn

My iPhone camera hasn’t been working right so I had an

appointment at the Apple Store GENIUS BAR.

I was looking forward to going to the Genius Bar –

even though it meant my phone wasn’t working right.

Actually – it was just the camera not working right.

Who uses a Smart phone for a PHONE???

They replaced the lens of my camera phone

& now it is PERFECT! yay.

At least not with my point & shoot.

We’ve arrived at the Genius Bar.

It’s a big production – there are ton o’ people

working here & ton o’ people browsing/shopping.

what it was — well, Lucky me – one of my Picture of the Day subscribers

not only KNEW what one was but had first hand experience

with the Pronghorn as he road his bike across the country.

4/3/11 Biking & Pineville Tavern

4/3/11

After relaxing in the morning – doing things I like to do –

but don’t make the time – cooking & reading – we went for

a short bike ride.

{4/3/11}

we rode 23 miles today – which i suppose is better than none!

{ytd 78 miles}

We checked out some construction they were doing.

but not in awhile. We thought we’d have dinner there tonight.

i tried their Snapper soup b/c that is what was

featured on the show. It was good I suppose if

one is a Snapper Soup aficionado……
